Agreed, but that's awfully self aware of you.

Exactly. The “kings are trash” narrative is getting old.

3 games into the season and we're already talking ourselves into losing to the **** Kings. A team that is widely projected to win less than 25 games this season just came in and scored at least 30 points in every single quarter, but somehow we're supposed to just chalk this up as "growing pains".

My God, guy.

The Kings just lost by 20 to NOLA and around 15 to Utah.

that would be hilarious. he builds a roster without any three point shooting-- when questioned on it he says they're just going to be fast and explosive. then he wants the team without any three point shooting to shoot 40 threes a game.

Do you know how you get better at playing defense? By playing defense.

Well, no. 39 3s.

-6 for Westbrook
-6 for Patterson
-9 for George
-3 for Ferguson
-5 for Grant
-5 for Schröder
-2 for Burton
-2 for Diallo
-1 for Abrines

I'm seeing a total of 16 for guys that can actually shoot. With the rest of them, you can probably expect a 3P% of close to 30 % or so. Just because the shot is open, that doesn't mean you're taking a good shot. I don't know why this is so hard to understand; before teams just started chucking like crazy, people would realize that the opposing team WANTS your worst shooters to take 3s. Yet we seem to don't mind, at all. We just keep taking them.
While I get what you're saying, they shouldn't be passing up open shots. They need to show some semblance of confidence.

Feels like we just try a lot of dumb **** on offense. One trip down the floor Adams was doubled in the post. Westbrook tries to loft a pass over the top of the defense while standing past the 3 point line. Of course the pass sails out of bounds. Just tons of stupid stuff like that. Could have easily just reversed the ball and found another look. Chose to force that pass that didn't have a snow ball's chance in hell of getting there.

i dont' think this is wrong. the problem was mostly on defense. expected efg on the threes attempted is probably considerably higher on average.

Well, there's a difference between taking an open shot and constantly spotting up horrible 3pt shooters. A wide open 3 for all of these guys is probably worse than a contested midrange brick by some of our offensive maestros.

People are upset now but once we figure out who fits into the rotation and style we are playing, people are going to be gushing at how the team looks. Then they will say the players carried Donovan to the Western Conference Finals.

No one going to comment on how weird it is that Burton got into this game before TLC or have you all already discussed that? Bill Doh showing more confidence in a 2 way contract guy than TLC.

I don't think that's confidence. I think that's a hail mary 3 games into the season yjust hoping something will work.

Yeah, defense is the main issue. With no Roberson, we are going to have to figure out how to work together on defense. It will get better the more they play and figure out rotations.

I’m not that much of a troll to put it in my sig but when do you think it is fair to revisit this comment?

1 ) this team has never shown that it can play defense consistently without andre roberson. expecting them to do so while also adding a bad defensive player in schroder and featuring him prominently is nuts.

2 ) the team let melo go and replaced him with schroder both of them are around the same eFG. does not help the shooting.

3 ) the team seems intent on marginalizing the roles of the shooters they do possess, shrinking the court even more.

4 ) the leaders of this team have been poor when it comes to self-reflection and self-correction. these problems won't fix themselves.

5 ) the org. is prioritizing 'fast and explosive' as their tagline seemingly at the expense of tactics and thought. saw a lot of goof ball plays today as a result of trying to go fast. a lot of over running defensive assignments, biting on fakes, etc.

antonio daniels' comments post game are apt. this team doesn't know what it is. the roster is a jumbled mess that might fit together even worse than last season, and the coaching staff lost its best assistant and defensive voice.
