Very happy for Levert, this is definitely his breakout year.

I picked him up the 11th round of my ESPN Fantasy league. Everyone has been looking for him after game 1, expecting for him to be on the free agency list but no, I had faith in him :)

Can't help but see Joe Johnson and Brandon Roy in his game.

I don't really see the JJ similarities. Roy fits if Caris gets more aggressive when attacking the rim, which I think he can. He needs to use his athleticism to elevate & just dunk over players instead of laying it up.

He's quick and has a herky jerky style not like Joe Jesus or Roy.

Roy was one of the most craftiest scorers in the league during his time. I think Caris is good at taking advantage of angles and getting guys off balance but Roy was just on another level.

Caris LeVert, an Early Oladipo All-Star
The Nets weren’t willing to include Caris LeVert in trade offers for Jimmy Butler this past month, as I previously reported on The Bill Simmons Podcast, and it’s become easy to see why. The 24-year-old wing is averaging 24.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and four assists through three games. Though he won’t maintain his current rate of efficiency (75.1 true shooting percentage), it appears his skills have taken a leap.

Yeah Caris is going to fall down to earth efficiency wise but lets hope its a soft landing and not a crash. if he can maintain a good TS% and his 3pointers stay at around 37% he should still be able to average 19-20+ points a night. Getting to the free throw line will play a big part in this though.

Those two isolation drives in the 4th vs NO were top notch plays. My hats off to LeVert, he had a rough night efficiency wise but you can't teach what he showed at the end of that game.

He needs to really work on his jumper next offseason. his form is all over the place. However, when he puts the ball on the floor he's money.

There were two plays were we could have secured the ball if Caris wasn't whining to the refs... I understand he got fouled but he needs to continue to play.. cost us 2 possessions minimum.

Other than that he had a solid game and was clutch at the end but all for nought.

starting to get tunnell vision a bit. being aggressive is good, but dont want him to just turn into a chucker

well, I will say lets see how he continues to get used to the high usage. I don't mind him looking for his own shot as long as he doesn't settle. he needs to get to the stripe on a nightly basis consistently in order to maintain or increase his current production

Has been awesome. Really love watching him grow in confidence game after game.

Russ + LeVert backcourt is fun as hell.

Judging by our other 'projects', the coaching staff definitely encourages aggression to build confidence. RHJ and Crabbe were allowed to stretch their offense. Looks like it's Caris' turn. Chucker is obviously a huge stretch though.
