Troy Daniels is a really good 3pt shooter that’s being wasted away on the Suns bench. He’s buried in their rotation, DNP last night.

Could be really useful in Philly.

Not when confidence issues are at play. Also, I don't think he's all that great a prospect to begin with.

Markelle Fultz

For

Mikal Bridges and Troy Daniels.

Brett gets BOTH of his guys (Zhaire and Mikal) and still got the Miami pick for his troubles.

Bridges was probably a McD guy, anyway.

I would do that... but what do the Sixers have to add to a Fultz for Bridges and Bender deal?

Probably nothing. Bender was a DNP and they're playing a lot of Fs in front of him. Are we hoping for a Bjelica situation with him? I'm not huge on Bender.

They can have the rights to Pasecniks and Bolden then. Everyone's happy.

I still see potential in that kid. I give him some backup C minutes and see how it goes. Just have him focus on defense and running the floor. It also doesn't hurt to keep Amir's minutes very limited.

Butler looked great last night. I still believe he would take us over the top. I would still take on Dieng if it meant keeping our remaining core intact. Fultz may be a 3rd star in 2 years, but I think we need one now.

Chandler + Bayless + Muscala + Smith + MIA 1st for Butler and Dieng

Simmons(24)/Fultz(24)
Redick(24)/Shamet(20)/Butler(4)
Butler(28)/Covington(20)
Covington(10)/Saric(28)/Simmons(10)
Embiid(32)/Dieng(16)

#1 seed in the East with a promising present and future. I know we're afraid of Butler's character, but maybe it's what we need against a team like Boston.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards
George/Watford/Barlow
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

Jonathan Issac intrigues me as a combo forward and fit on this team with Ben and JoJo. Would trade Fultz for him. They need a point guard anyways.

Isaac is the type of acquisition on this team that would make Boston sweat a little bit.

He hasn't established himself as a good player yet, but IQ, defense, and potential as a shooter make him a scary fit on this team.

Jon Johnson has zero credibility. I can’t believe that he is still quoted as a source after he said that Simmons was nearly 7 feet. He throws out BS.

Not that I’m arguing that we DO have interest in Butler. I’m just saying that him saying something doesn’t mean anything.

Luke Kennard was a DNP, coach's decision tonight.

Go get him!

Question: is Dieng a better backup C than Amir?

Answer: Not with his contract.

Skal would look nice here, I think. Shouldn't cost much to get him, either.

Wilson Chandler and a 2nd for Skal and Shumpert?

Ok, this is my first trade idea in a while. I'm a little rusty. Let's see how this goes...

Min In:
2021 Miami pick top 3 protected
Wilson Chandler
Jerryd Bayless
Willie C-S
Iman Shumpert

Min Out:
Jimmy Butler
Giorgio Dieng

Why for Minny:
Get back supporting role players at C, F and G who can all help the team win games this year (not including Bayless), while maintaining flexibility because of 4 separate expiring contracts which can be valuable later in the year. Clear $35M off the books in 1 trade for next year. Get a potentially good lottery pick for the future. Get rid of the Butler circus. I think this is the best deal they can get and allows them to make a move now and possibly re-trade those expiring contracts later.

SAC In:
Giorgio Dieng
PHI 2020 1st (top 3 protected)

SAC Out:
Willie C-S
Iman Shumpert

Why for SAC:
They have said they would take on salary for picks, and this accomplishes that. They get a middle to late 1st round pick in 2020 in order to take on a backup C who can give them veteran minutes over the next few years while the young guys develop. They won't miss 2 guys who are expiring anyway and would only help them win more games this year.

PHI In:
Jimmy Butler

PHI Out:
Jerryd Bayless
Wilson Chandler
2020 1st top 3 protected
2021 Miami 1st top 3 protected

Why for Philly:
Get a guy who may sign a long term deal for a few rental players and 2 future picks. If Butler signs a long term deal, you get a big 3 with Fultz and Zhaire still on the team developing their roles. If Butler doesn't re-sign, you give up essentially 2 future picks (when you have other picks and stash players, etc) for the risk of having 1 year of Butler helping push this team past Boston.

Butler replaces Saric in the starting lineup in my mind. So Fultz/Butler/Cov/Ben/Joel....

With Shamet/JJ/Saric off the bench first for additional shooting.

So who says no? Is it enough for Minny? Is it enough for Sac? Does Philly take the risk knowing they are keeping the entire squad in tact?

I should have clarified. Contracts aside, who is better on the court?

Labissiere is so immensely skilled and talented, but he ain't ever gonna fulfill his potential. He's a knucklehead. I think it would be a waste of time. Based on Brett's personnel acquisitions, he seems over those enigmatic talent types. This Fultz situation is more than enough burden than he can take.

I'd still love to add Vucevic to the bench, and that triple double only further cemented that opinion. How long do we have to wait until they give up on the season and look to free up more time for Bamba? Deadline?

I'd think at this moment in time, Isaac is more valuable than Markelle.
