I'm thinking the fight and the ensuing suspensions actually have some value in the long term for the Lakers. There's several reasons:
- Good rotations are difficult to find, especially because of the system employed by Luke Walton (which is actually a good thing)
- Pecking orders have not been established
- Scouting reports are not out, so fringe rotation players can be very effective in certain contexts.
That being said, I'm looking for several things:
1. Lonzo Ball will be back in the starting lineup and be counted on to score as well (he's a more assertive shooter than Rondo)
2. Kyle Kuzma will be free to take advantage of opportunities created by LeBron
3. KCP should be moved to the bench, to guard opposing backup PG
4. Josh Hart should move into the starting lineup too, providing more shooting and rebounding. He's also tougher than KCP, so he can switch
5. Lance Stephenson should be back-up PG - it's a bit paradoxical, but given his need to handle the ball, I feel like if he's given more responsibility (getting guys involved), he'll be more productive. Plus, playing bully ball against reserves is easier
6. Svi can be very effective in "zapping line-ups" - devised to take advantage of mismatches
Others things might occur too, but to me this is quite logical.
Conclusion:
What I'm really looking forward is establishing ROTATION TYPES. What I mean, based on opportunity more than anything.
What do you guys think ?

Re: Opportunity in Adversity
There's going to be a lot of trial and error. Last season Luke couldn't stick to a solid rotation and had weird line ups. Can't afford to be doing that this season, he needs to figure it out quick. Hart should definitely start.
