With his soft hands, quickness diving to the basket and ability to finish in a variety of ways off the run, it would be a waste to have him as a floor stretcher anyway.
He has to get stronger to simply bang in the paint at an adequate level for a starter. Thats why I never liked the Adams comparisons. He's on the opposite end of the center strength spectrum. However, Jakob is way more fluid and creative as a finisher. Other than being 7 footers who can run and jump, there's not much similarity there.
Yeah I'm not really convinced about the Adams comparison either even if Jakob gets stronger (balanced so as to not lose other strengths you mentioned). I don't agree, though, that his being a floor stretcher is a waste. Bigs facilitating from the top of the arc is an important and often utilized play for us so I expect Jakob to be incorporated into it in time as well. Jakob doesn't get talked about as much, but he's also an important part of the deal. Getting a lottery pick who has solid fundamentals and good upside, is coachable and fills a position of need is a great pick up, too.
