They need Rhodes alright. I do like the play experience Kearse is getting. He's improving and could be a good S/CB option for this team.

I don't think we have a single losing team on the schedule the rest of the way. Just brutal.

Meanwhile, Diggs has no drops on 38 catchable balls.

In Today's Jets game they appear to have tried to get Diggs going by sending 14 targets his way just a little into the fourth quarter now. He's only caught 8 of them. Couple long shots to Diggs in double coverage where that is the play call and Cousins should be choosing someone in Single coverage instead when he sees that.

It's been a good game and Murray has gotten nice holes and capitalized on them. But the Vikings still having trouble putting games away when they have a lead.

Just blew another drive where it was third and 15 by attempting a 40 yard shot to Robinson instead of trying for 15 yards. The play before they got cute with a run attempt to someone who never plays. DeFilippo isn't really impressive yet this year. I hope Cousins can start finding open players when their play target is doubled up. That is if they aren't all head down on blocking assignments.

Couldn't watch the game today but I'm not going to second-guess play calling when, thanks to our virtually non-existent run game, we're out there playing with an arm tied behind our back.

If I were to complain about something, it's probably that those reverses and bubble screens seem to have run their course and Cousins needs to figure out something with batted balls. I still don't think we were that good today, but Darnold was pretty bad and when he had a chance to get the Jets back in the game they dropped some passes on him.

They’re just trying to do whatever they can to keep defenses off balance given that, other than the instances when we manage to pop off a long run, we cannot run the ball with any consistency whatsoever. See yesterday when Murray had TD runs of 38 and 11 yards but only had something like 20 yards on his other 11 or 12 carries. Otherwise we can just drop Cousins back on every play and let defenses tee off. Bottom line, we have to get healthy and somehow address this persistent problem with our line in the offseason.

Patrick Peterson is asking for a trade. Would love to see us go after him. Him and Rhodes would be amazing to watch.

The worst part of being an NFL fan. You know it's going to wipe out a season here and there on a regular basis just because of the nature of the game. I live in Atlanta, and the Falcons were devastated in the first few weeks with their Pro Bowl MLB and both safeties lost for the year. Then Freeman has been out for a while. Just brutal.

Probably would have to throw in at minimum a 2nd rounder. But I'd do that in a heartbeat. Rhodes/Peterson would be the best CB duo by a wide margin. Get Joseph and Griffin back, this defense could start looking really damn good again.

Yes the offensive line is a patchwork quilt. More like a patchwork sheet. I agree they should get some leeway for that. But I still think Defilippo is getting way to cute for his own good at times. I think he correctly noticed a weakness deep over center of the field and persistence for him paid off. I was getting annoyed watching him keep trying though. At least when combined with the cutsy runs they were trying. He knows it's importance to get more of run game going. But Instead of trying to get cute with receivers in the backfield he maybe should have given Ham more of a try. If not just handing him the ball which he's good at, let's get a lead blocker going and bust through this iffy line when the hole isn't there.

It's a work in progress and everything is new and slowly coming together. As long as he's learning what the players are good at. Little better every game and by playoff time maybe the team has this all figured out.

I would add a 2nd to Barr to make it happen. Not sure of the dollars P.Peterson gets paid. Could Vikings afford him? I'm going to guess he's expensive.

Ya I believe he's roughly around 11-12 mil a year, doubt we could make that work sadly. But it would be amazing if Rick can somehow figure the money out and get him here.

Make him take a discount to play with a team in the hunt. A rework of his deal, backload it maybe. Paid Barr 12 for this year.

I don’t know how I feel about that. We’ve already invested so much in the CB position and we’re already squeezed financially.

One benefit from this if it happened, it might mean no longer wasting on 1st and 2nd rounders on CBs that arent living up to their value. Maybe we could start wasting those picks on OL.

Cause ya we have invested so much in the CB position, but what have those investments gotten us so far? What CB do you trust on this team not named Rhodes?

I think Wayne’s is solid and Hughes was on his way to being pretty good before the injury. Peterson is definitely an upgrade but to a position we’re already pretty good at.

Im just not sold on Waynes yet. It seems like whenever he show some promise, he can never be consistent about it. I thought Hughes showed some promise but he is gone for the year. I think if we could get another stud DB, we could be looking at the best defense in football.

Waynes was a starter on probably the best defense in the league last year and Hughes is back next year and I would say that’s probably where my main concern lies. Is Peterson’s contract going push somebody else out, and who, while we’ll still have Waynes and Hughes on the roster? I agree it would be a nice trade to improve our team this season, but is it the prioritization in the future?
