Nashty and Cactus - Game 3 against GS

Post#1 » by bwgood77 » Tue Oct 23, 2018 4:52 am

How it works

Spoiler:
Anyone can vote for the 3-2-1 (including other fans from other forums) but you can only vote for the Suns players (or coach).

3 votes to who you think was a the best Suns player.
2 for the second best
and 1 for the 3rd best.

**EDIT: as of January something-or-other 2017, you can now distribute votes for the Nashty and Cactus however you please. You have a total of 6 votes to give out, but now you have the freedom to do what you want with those 6. The only condition which applies is no more than 3 votes can be given to one player (or coach) in either award. **

In the event of a Suns loss, you are also encouraged to vote for the Cactus of the game:

-3 votes for the player most responsible for the loss
-2 votes for the second most responsible
-1 for the third most responsible

Any votes with more than 3 players listed and not in the required format will not count. Voting will close before the start of the next Suns game.

After the thread closes, the votes will be tallied. The highest scoring total Sun gets 3 points, the next 2, and the third gets 1 point towards their season total. In the event of a tie in a count for a game, if the result of the game is a Suns win, a maximum of 4 players will be awarded points. A tie in the event of a loss will only result in a maximum of 3 players getting awarded points.

The player with the highest total at season's end wins the award!

The same applies for the Cactus of the Year, although of course the lowest tally at year's end takes it.

For me

Warren +3
Ayton +2
Booker +1

Ariza -3
Canaan -2
Anderson -1

If the Nashty (and possibly an occasional Cactus) thread is not posted immediately post game, feel free to post. batsmasher and I may not always be here. To post the "How it Works" and spoiler (which isn't that necessary) you can quote the initial post of the last Nashty thread and copy all of the content and re-post it...just quote it and copy it all and paste into first post of new thread)

+6 The Suns

-6 The Fans
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

+3 Warren: One of the most underrated players in the league. He's a legitimately complete scorer if this 3 ball is legit. I expect him to take Anderson's job soon, he's a much better option on both ends at this point.
+2 Ayton: His defense isn't looking as good as we need, especially with Booker as a sieve on the perimeter, but at least he's attracting a lot of attention and getting the job done on offense.
+1 Booker: Way too many stupid turnovers, but he was one of the few people putting the ball in the basket tonight

-1 Canaan: Tough to fault him when he's probably near the same level as the guys at the end of the Warriors bench despite being a starter for us.
-2 Anderson: Can't defend anyone, can't hit the 3, and can't create his own offense. He's like a slightly less confused Bender out there right now.
-3 Ariza: Must have thought this was Game 7 with Houston. Mediocre defense, missing open lay-up, missing open shots. We need a lot more from him if this team isn't going to suck.

+4.5 Warren (57% 3FG so far this season on almost 5 attempts a game)
+1.5 Ayton

-2.5 Ariza
-1.5 Booker (9 TOs... are you kidding me? Dude's just throwing passes away whenever he gets frustrated. Where's the mental toughness?)
-1 Canaan
-.5 Chandler
-.5 Anderson
