Me too on Mo Almond. I liked Stuckey in that draft but he went one pick before us, so my picks were Rudy Fernandez (knowing he would stay out a year IIRC) Marco Bellinelli, or Mo Almond at that pick. Figured we could trade down if possible and get one plus a later pick since I had my eye on a few in round 2. I also liked Dom McGuire. Though wanted Marc Gasol too as that Princeton center EFJ needed all those years.

You and I both liked Ramon Sessions from that draft. JaVale's teammate and reports had him killing everyone in workouts.

That was a very top-heavy draft - with Oden/Durant/Horford/Conley and then... trade your picks. I thought Al Thornton had star potential... wrong, and Demeris Nichols was going to be a sweet shooting swingman... wronger. Jeff Green was pick #5 and Jason Smith #20.

very disappointed in porter. he got pushed around during clutch time when we needed a rebound in the paint. show me hasn't being a great rebounder In the offseason. Olynk basically owned him, a bench player!!

I saw Javale McGee in Hawaii his soph and last season with Nevada.

Didn't NOTICE HIM. Missed or lamented Fazekas' being out. Loved Sessions--knew he was a pro. Kinda like Avery Bradley's game...and liked a real good athlete Kemp(?). Think Kemp had a cup of coffee in the NBA

Stuckey...succeeded as far as I'm concerned.

He's better than Austin Rivers. So did Sessions. More than a fresh cup of coffee in the league, both players.

Ten-year pro was competent to the tune of 2.8 made threes at 40% for a season. Nick's PER an WS/48? His VORP and BPM as a starter? You tell me.

I'm sorry. How well has Ernie done with draft athleticism over skill? Our 3 max players were all skilled coming out of college and went top 3 in the draft. Drafting for athleticism in the 1st round got us McGee, Blatche, Seraphim, Vesely, Oubre, and Nick Young. None of these have developed into competent NBA starters outside the organization either. . . . I don't see this as a history of competent evaluation

McGee is a 2-time champ. He is in his 11th NBA season. As of today 189 career starts.

I am not arguing. I ask if you care that you check CAREER PER. CAREER WS/48. Also, Mcgee's numbers with the Lakers and Warriors. He is balling.

MY PREMISE: I can be objective. EG ducks but on Oubre, as with Young and McGee; the talent is there. Needs tutelage and time.

Blatche? Great second round pick....UNTIL...FLIP and ridiculously overpriced contract. Andray had a real good run all things considered. Probably better than Morris and Green right now. Not arguing because you're off on him being first round pick.

My only thought was do not punt Oubre right now.

You are absolutely right on Blatche. McGee was actually a good choice where he was picked. Nick Young I think could reasonably be labeled a disappointment though he had some starts with some bad teams and did have that one decent season. I would say, however, that EG's draft record with taking athleticism over skill/performance/basketball intelligence is not a good one overall.
