If the switching woes continue we should be 0-4 going into game 5. Nets have a good amount of solid 3 point shooters again. Maybe we will see some of Smith and Korver tonight to offset it if Nets are hot from deep.
I would really like to see how Zizic does against Allen and give Thompson the night off...

no surprise here. They need about 10 more games imo to get up to speed on both sides of the ball with the system across the roster.
Bad shooting didn't help tonight either.
I mean I guess if they are playing like this after 20 games then I would start to worry.

It's like training camp there where all guys are given a chance to play. Just start Sexton with Nwaba at the backcourt already. Clarkson as the attacking PG off the bench and surround him with roll and pop guys like Dekker, Nance, or Zizic plus Korver or Smith.
Hill and Hood look lost or just too passive out there.

People understand that PGs are actually suppose to run an offense, right? Benching one of the only two people on our roster who can reliably pass the ball isn't the answer.

Stop it
There are no answers on this team. If its going to a dumpster fire at least play someone who doesnt look like they just woke up from a nap.
3 assist per game. He has to be the worst starting pg in the league. Looks like he is playing with concrete in his shoes out there cut it out.
I dont care if he is the slight less terrible option watching him play is like watching someone do paperwork. Joyless soul sucking misery

I should have a chance to re-watch this later, but aren't Brooklyn supposed to be a decent team now? Hopefully we play better today.

I think the majority of Cavs are failing to embrace the idea that it takes time for a new system to work, esp one like this, which is not something you should be surprised about...and the notion that changing 1 player for another to get an advantage only further weakens the reserves. This team top to bottom needs to get up to game speed for a pace most are not accustomed to playing. They are doing well for bursts and some line ups have done better than others, but we need this roster to get to a point where Lue can rotate 10-12 players in this system and so he should unless the pressure gets to him, continue to disappoint you until all of these players are clicking no matter what the line ups.
People suggesting we suck and should blow it up, don't understand at all what is going on.

I'm sorry man but there's absolutely no way that this is just an adjustment. This is a complete lack of talent and mediocre on its best day coaching.
They cannot defend. Thats the bottom line. You cannot overcome lack of size talent and athleticism shooting and be a terrible defensive team.
I'm afraid you're gonna see that you are in a state of denial about the state of his team right now and there's no way to prove that until the end of the year but let's circle back to this at the end of the year and there's no question in my mind this is going to be a 20 win team when it's all said and done

One thing for sure, is they have to keep putting the work in to play at this pace so that they can collectively overcome their deficiencies defensively in the paint this season & to put a lid on the open looks they are giving teams from deep while trying to defend the paint. I have not seen anything that isn't fixable or indicating they lack the skills required to be a winning roster. They don't need to change personnel. Not sure what your'e thinking there, but assuming they can't achieve success without some blue chip me first type is beyond me. This is a team sport and the roster is loaded with high energy youth with tons of work ethic.
Cavs will win 40 games this season I don't care if they go 0-10 to start the season

He's nowhere near the worst starting PG in the league. He'd start for any number of teams. You're allowing your emotions to impact your evaluation.

No I dont have some agenda against George Hill. He is in the bottom 10 on his best day of worse starting guards in the league. The stats back this up, the advanced stats, the eye test, go to any poll of top 20 or 25 point guards and he is no where to be found.
no not emotion, logic, reason, come with something tangible on how he is not.

Using statistics to extrapolate from a four game sample size is a pretty good indication that you're not acting solely from a place of reason.

OK so that's pretty much what you gonna go with is well sample size. Well last year pretty much the same numbers and OK you have numbers you have eye test so what are you going by? We can break down his next 3 games versus his peers and I guarantee He will be significantly outplayed in couple and probably in all 3
By all means if I am wrong then show me how I am wrong but you don't get to just say no you're wrong because small sample size and because I said so And you're being irrational because I said so.
