My 2 cents...

Blake has been amazing. Playing within himself, showing leadership and creating for others. He has definitely earned the hype he has been getting.

Drumming needs to grow up. He is still incredibly immature and it shows. He was very unlucky with a lot of his shots last night, but he can't let that get to him. Also letting embiid get in his head is ridiculous at this point. He has so much natural ability and his immaturity is is clearly holding him back.

I still like SJ (only one left here?) but he needs to move to the bench. Along him to be more of a play maker and hopefully he can turn his offensive struggles around.
GRIII should be starting.

Galloway needs all his minutes to go to either kennard or brown depending on the situation. Need a scoring boost? Like. Need some pesky defense? Brown. Galloway doesn't do either well.

Reggie has been really good. Considering he has come back from a big injury, what he has been able to do has been solid.

I love ish. He's been amazing so far and we're seeing how important and productive he can be in the right role. He's never going to be a great starting pg, but off the bench and with some other play makers, he's amazing.
I really like the Reggie and ish combo.

Bullock is still solid and he feeds off griffin really well.

I'd like to see bullock and GRIII can do not he starting lineup next game, but it's probably not going to happen.

My 3 cents...

We need to trade for Butler. F#ck it, trade a 2019 1st and protected 2021 1st. Make us a contender! MPGA, Make the Pistons Great Again!

I love how some on this board constantly want us to mortgage our future for a short term rental, and they often the same people to bitch when those moves go awry. Save the modified Trump slogans, don't tie Stefanski's hands and let the boys play.

This.

Gunners (not chuckers) tend to have a secure place in rotations. And with Casey's emphasis on 3s, Luke should drop his tentativeness and just cut loose. Blake would easily find him coming off high screens or even on cuts to the basket the way he did with Redick back in LAC.

To add to my previous thought, we have one year of Reggie to carry after this. He could be a useful expiring for us next year. No need to shift all out assets this season for anything less than a franchise changing trade.

Overall, happy to see us win the type of game that we absolutely would have lost the past few seasons.

It won't be a short term rental if you offer a good contract and set up a winning team.

I'm trying to keep Stefanski's job in the future. In the NBA today, we're not going anywhere without another great player.

You know what made this feel like an epic game to watch? It was a 53-minute grind against a legit ECF contender, and although we played poor D for most of the game, the team fought tooth-&-nail and hung in there... Mostly on Blake's Herculean effort, yet guys like Ish, Bullock & Jackson (save for a couple of brain farts) were also fully engaged in the dogfight. Zaza was solid on defense in the few minutes he played. Dre was useful in spots, but for stretches of the game played like Philly's 6th man on the floor -- it certainly made the grind more frustrating.

All game long, it felt as if the team was always on the verge of losing to a superior opponent. The tension was palpable as time wound down since everyone knew that a mini-run from the Sixers would probably be enough to break the Pistons' spirit and put the game away. But the guys showed a lot of grit & heart and would not go down despite absorbing heavy blows repeatedly -- the last of which was Redick's would've-been-dagger 3+1.

Ultimately, the man-beast named Blake Griffin who played like a force of nature would not be denied on his career night. So to finally emerge victorious on his game-winning and-1 -- ooooohh yeahhh! It certainly was the most exhilarating Pistons game we've had in a long while! It had everything... Well, except good, game-long defense and bench contribution.

Snakebites wrote:Gotta love those NBA ref oversight announcements after the fact.

Drummond's technical has been rescinded and Embiid was warned for flopping, but also they say Blake got away with an offensive foul and travel on the last play.

Blake actually use his left arm to foul Covington in that last play >.< the call could've went either way.

I like that the short-sightedness is perfectly aligned in the "Make the Pistons Great Again" analogy. Who needs 1st round picks when we can say screw the future, get Butler for a year, and lose in the Conference Semi-Finals NOW?!? Who needs a sustainable planet when we have oil to burn NOW?!?

"F#ck it" I guess

Watching this game got me to pull the trigger and buy tickets to the game tonight against Cleveland. After attending multiple games at the Palace for years, this will be my first visit to Little Caesar's Arena. Got club tickets center court 10 rows back for about half face value. Looking forward to seeing this team and the new arena.

Hey can you do me(and I'm sure a bunch of other fans as well)a favor?

Report back about the arena, the ambiance, the seats, sounds e.t.c. I haven't made the trip out to the LCA either and a detailed heads up would be great!
