Trap game. They’ll play well and get me all emotionally involved again only to crap the bed against the suns.

Good news. Boston sucks right now. Bad news. We can beat bad teams.

The whole league has had a weird start, awful teams haven't been as bad as expected, good teams are struggling, and everybody except is is putting up 130 points.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

If Patterson and Ferguson start the game OKC loses by 20. Ferguson is becoming Kyle Singler. 95% of the fans out there can see that he doesn't belong on the court yet for whatever reason Presti and Donovan love him and continue to keep playing him. Unfortunately if it hasn't stopped at this point they're probably not going to give up on him. Heck they played Singler all the way into the playoffs until his poor play forced the move to finally bench him. Playing 3 against 5 definitely won't work against a championship caliber team.

Ferguson starting is absolutely decimating the Thunder. I have come to the conclusion it is time to let go of Donovan and get rid of Ferguson. Not sure after 0-3, willing to give it more time but they cannot fall behind too much in a tough West.

Apparently Ferguson sat like a statue with a towel over his head without moving for 45 minutes or so after the King's game. Jesus Donovan, stop destroying this kid. Don't force him into roles he can't possibly be comfortable in.

I wouldn't completely cut bait on Ferguson yet. I wouldn't be playing him though. He needs to D League it for awhile.

That is a scheduled loss for me, more talented opponent with far superior coaching is not in our ballpark (right now?).

In germany we have a term 'Aufbaugegner' which roughly translates to buildup/lift-up opponenet. And we surely seem like one for Boston.
I definitely expect for Boston to regain their confidence and go on a roll/winning-streak.

My hopes are that our shooters shot well enough to get some confidence back, I hope to see some offensive movement and defensive effort.

We're going to win and then lose to Phoenix. We are the Thunder after all.

Iirc, last year we played them at home early in the season and ended up losing after blowing a big lead. That just feels like something that could happen again.

Boston has had some struggles shooting from 3 so far. I don't think there is a better cure for that than playing a Donovan defense. Kyrie and Tatum get their season going.

Looking like Abrines will be out for the game. It would be nice to see what TLC has to offer.

I'm fairly optimistic about this game, even with Abrines out. Brown+Tatum is a nice young wing duo, but honestly, they don't hold a candle to Diallo+Burton.

Once grant starts raining threes on them, our spacing will be too much.

At least there will be some good matchups.
Kyrie vs Russ
Tatum vs PG
Steven vs Horford

The backup pg matchup should be pretty interesting as well.

It all comes down to if Abrines can play at all, if Grant keeps playing like microwaved dog crap, and if Hamidou gets more minutes than Ferg.

Don’t forget Stevens vs Dononvan. Stevens enters this game knowing that although he approaches his strategy of game management like a chess match, Dononvans coaching abilities typically mirror a mildly competitive game of checkers. What Stevens doesn’t see coming is that some of the lineups a Billy plans on using tonight will show that he isn’t playing checkers anymore. Can Stevens adjust to an unexpected match of connect four?
