And we’re happy with that?

This squad doesn’t have the mental [anything] to be a contender. 7th seed? Very likely. 3rd seed? If it all breaks right. Legit threat to win the East? Nope. No way. They’re missing the defensive grit, buckle down in crunch time, alpha dog who others want to get behind, the ownership/front office that create a winning culture... just all those intangibles that take a team from good to great. It’s been apparent for several years. Why keep banging our head against the same wall (pun intended)?

Blow it up. I’d rather watch a young team with developing talent and unknown ceiling than a bunch of underperforming guys who find new and novel ways to disappoint.

I was responding to all the doomsayers after the Golden State loss. So far, our record isn't unexpected so there is no reason for the doom and gloom. We appear to be the 45-ish win team that most of us predicted. Maybe the addition of Howard's rebounding will help, and maybe it won't.

I think we all agree that standing pat isn't the ideal solution. If one thinks we have more talent than a 45-win team, then we ought to be upgrading management and coaching so that we can make a run in the remaining years of Wall's prime. A decent GM would find talent later in the draft to complement the roster and a better coach would play Sato more and Rivers less. Alternatively, we can trade Wall and rebuild around younger players.
