2018 Brewers Award Season: Yelich Named 2018 NL MVP

Post#1 » by humanrefutation » Sat Oct 27, 2018 1:16 am

Congrats to Christian Yelich for being named the National League Hank Aaron Award winner, presented to the league's best hitter.

Since the award was established in 1999, the Brewers have had two recipients: Prince Fielder in 2007 and Yelich in 2018.

JD Martinez won it in the AL.

Neither Cain or Yelich win the gold glove
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Celebrating coming 2nd his lame as hell. But Stearns traded for the MVP, signed a gold glove worthy OF, and one of the best F/A starters. How did he not win this award?

Same reason Cain didn't get a gold glove. It is a mystery.

I swear teams have some sort of vendetta against the Brewers. I'm guessing they think they were all smoke and mirrors this season.

Brewers never really got a lot of respect from the national media. And this isn't just homerism on my part - I feel like they actively discredited the club even through the final game of the year. It was like they were waiting for the Cubs to run away with it, and then pivoted to the Dodgers once the Brewers came back to win the Division and the Cubs were knocked out.

Yup, the Brewers didn't win the division, the Cubs lost it. If Yelich isn't named MVP...

Snitker wins NL Manager of the Year. Counsell was robbed.

Counsell with the best record in the NL and a NLCS trip. How that doesn't earn him Manager of the Year is beyond me.
