$15 milli to sit on my ass anywhere in the world except Cleveland while not ruining my W-L record... Not a bad deal!

On the bright side one more bottom dweller (Cavs) means Philly is even less likely to keep the Sac pick? Of course it probably means that pick is more likely to be mid/late lottery too..

As for the Lakers it's just going to be a reality show for them this season..just enough to keep fan interest alive. It's almost like JR and Rondo's blunders were both scripted. NBA players can't be that dumb. My hunch is Magic already has a star lined up for 2019 free agency though. LeBron has his off court interests but he still didn't sign up for 4 years of this idiocy.

Yup. Ty Lue seems like a nice guy. Put up with a lot of **** from Lebron. Happy that he gets to sit on a beach and not have to work for Gilbert anymore.

Guy only got to really coach 4 or 5 games. What did you think would happen without Lebron? Low class not to give him a chance to prove himself like Miami did with Spoelstra (who actually turned out to be a pretty good coach).

I'd pretend that maybe the Cavs had someone in mind. But who am I kidding. They had nobody in mind when they let go of David Griffin.

Just more proof that, save for rare exceptions like Brad, coaches mean absolutely nothing in this league. It's about talent.

I wouldn't go that far, look what coach Bud has done for Milwaukee, Kerr taking over from Jackson, Snyder working wonders with Utah, obviously Popovich and then Thibodeau squandering talent on the Wolves.

That Cavaliers team is absolutely horrendous though. Cleveland was seriously delusional to think they could compete this year

Bud hasn't done that much for Milwaukee. Giannis is merely a monster and they have better shooter than they had last year. As for Kerr? He is coaching Steph, Klay, Durant and Draymond. Now imagine if Kerr took the Knicks job back then.

I also said "rare exceptions," so guys like Brad and Pop are to whom am I referring. Snyder? The jury is still out. They haven't accomplished anything yet.

I have to give Kerr credit in Golden State. Steph, Klay, and Draymond were there before Kerr. They were nice young players who had potential on a mid tier team. Kerr helped shape them and get them to play together and take that next step together. Durant joined a 70+ win team. Talent alone does not win. Of course you need talent. A good coach without the necessary pieces is going to have a tough time going anywhere.

But don't discount what happens to say a Laker's team that goes from Del Harris coaching to Phil Jackson.

Steph was never really healthy before Kerr, and Klay and Dray were babies when Mark Jackson was there. I'll give Kerr credit for seeing Draymond's potential, but everything else was mostly lucky circumstances.

As for the Lakers? It was more Shaq entering his prime and Kobe becoming a star that changed the team; not going from Del Harris to Phil (although I certainly admit that Phil was CLEARLY the better coach and did a great job managing Shaq and Kobe's egos).

Rick Pitino wants back into the NBA. Perhaps the Celtics could hire him as a sideline reporter when Abby Chin takes time off for maternity leave. Or perhaps we could get him to work in the sales department and have him work in a call center and have him call up season ticket holders to discuss renewal plans and options.

I thought I'd give Pitino a hand, and make a picture for his resume:

Well, no Kawhi and no Giannis tonight. Looks like I'm playing Red Dead Redemption 2 later.

The game is amazing. The details, the graphics and the interactions with the NpC is superb. It will win game of the year.

Earliest memory of realizing Pitino was a snake oil salesman? Mine is when he read his players the dictionary definition of “professionalism” on the first day of training camp

First open world game where I’ve wanted to keep playing the story instead of jumping into side missions and exploring - the voice acting, low-key writing, and landscapes are totally engrossing

I wonder if we could hire him as a traveling consultant.

The one that just travels with Smart so when Smart has his violent outbursts of rage he can just punch Pitino instead of things like walls or glass objects.

It'd be the first beneficial thing Pitino did for the Celtics franchise.

I wouldn't even want Rick Pitino selling peanuts in the stands. He can stay the **** away from the Celtics forever as far as I am concerned.

So I didn’t have any expectations for the game other than it being arbitrarily “good.” But I’m having a hard time getting into it.

I did find my OG PSP though and have played the **** out of Lumines.

I thought the opening missions were fine but it was so slow paced and “on rails” I didn’t get into it until I did some of the camp stuff and dicked around the map

Kawhi resting tonight vs. Bucks. Glad we didn't get him now.
