CHI: Bender, Melton
PHO: Portis, Payne

Suns get a nice, young anx developing stretch 4 ready to contribute immediately, and one that fits the team from fit and age standpoint and is currently on the rise. Might give another look to Payne, he did show some flashes as a backup this year with Bulls.

Bulls take a chance on Bender who has fallen completely out of rotation, but imo still has considerable potential and is a very good fit. They also get a young PG who is out of Suns rotation and behind another young PG (Okobo), but could be interesting fit with LaVine long term. Both guys have more years of cheap team control too.

I wouldn't mind that type of trade. Lauri considers bender a rival which is cool

Didn't know that, guess he is still somewhat esteemed by his younger collegues :)
But yeah, I think he could really benefit from new, positive environment with less pressure and expectations.
After all, he still is just 20 years old.

Let Portis have a few hot games, and then trade him to the Wizards for Oubre. IMO, the Bulls are still in need of a long term center of the future to pair with Markkanen.

Wonder if there is discord enough in Washington for us to nab Porter.

Portis would have to really step-up upon his return because we don't have anything else I'd trade.

Bad trade for Minny, but please, no Rose. It's like eating a bad Mexican meal after running a marathon. You know it's gonna leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Who else ? We need a sf

How about RJ Barrett, Nassir Little, Cam Reddish or Zion WIlliamson?

A 6'6" 280lb SF? Williamson has no position in the NBA.

I think the goal should be to find a taker Portis, and hope for a mid-1st back or a starting quality SF. The problem is, nobody seems to need a starting no-defense PF. I'd still love to get an Oubre or one of BKN's SF's (RJH, Levert, or Harris)...maybe Magic for Fournier.

Oubre is about to become significantly overpaid. Pass.

Portis for Rondae Hollis Jefferson is a good trade. He's a versatile forward who can defend and play both the 3 & 4.

Nets get a offensive big that would be a good fit next to Jarret Allen.

I don't think the Nets deal RHJ for Portis, they really rate him. And also, he's been working mainly at the 4, if your intention would be for him to come and play SF, I think that would fail pretty miserably. But from a pure value stand-point, I think it's a great deal.

What about Brandon Ingram? Seems a little redundant with LeBron there.

Maybe they like Portis enough and a smaller package with him for Porter. If they commit to Oubrey, who knows.

I like what I saw from Mckinnie last night on the Warriors. Trade Cam Payne and a 2nd for Mckinnie. We are deep at pg, and Mckinnie looks like he can play the sf and the pf position, both of which are areas of need right now.

Jason Caffey looked good as a Bull also, and Payne would look better than McKinney in a Warriors jersey.

Don't so easily buy the hype of a bench warmer who looks good in garbage time on one of the best teams of all time.

Lol in what world are we watching Bulls basketball where the PG position is considered "deep?"

not deep in talent, but we have five players at the position. let's trade one for a sf or pf; and balance things up a bit.
