Game Thread 10/29: Pacers vs. Blazers

Post#1 » by boomershadow » Mon Oct 29, 2018 2:50 pm

Riding a two-game winning streak, the Pacers (4-2) return to the friendly confines of Bankers Life Fieldhouse to host the Portland Trail Blazers (3-2) on Monday night.

Indiana

handled its business

on Saturday night against a struggling Cavaliers team. Though the winless Cavs dominated the offensive boards, the Pacers' offense provided more than enough firepower to offset the rebounding discrepancy. The Blue & Gold shot a blistering 64.9 percent from the field on their way to a 119-107 win.

It's in my half season. Plan to eat at China King before game.

Pacers must win tonight. Just to re-affirm that they are the same (I mean - better) than last year.

That 27-8 run was pretty nuts.

Pacers offense in the second half looked like one guy trying to do stuff while four other guys watch

When we don't move the ball effectively the offense REALLY struggles.

hit free throws and this is a different game. Vic did mostly nothing until near the end when he tried to do everything but the game was already lost.

It's early but already 3 bad losses to Milwaukee, Minn and Portland. Those are team we need to beat to be an elite team. Otherwise, we're just an above average team....but not elite. We need another stud to go with Vic.

I would not qualify any of those as bad losses. All solid teams. 2 of them on the road. I understand your point though that we really only have 1 good win (at SA). Kind of beating the bad teams and losing to the good ones. Which is definitely worry-some I just wouldn't classify those as "bad losses." Also, no duh it would be nice to have another stud to go with Vic. They aren't exactly growing on trees.

I was at the game last nite and the energy was lacking all nite, from both the fans and players. Oladipo looked a step slow most of the evening.

We need one more key player to help Vic... so we have to wait next free agency... I think we will have space for one max contract... we should go all in for Kemba...
