Can't argue with that. They signed. Let's do this. On with the Twiggins show. Tomorrow is D day and maybe the start of something different.

I'm excited to see the okogie, Wiggins and towns lineup. If we could get a future pg and/or pf or c to start with those 3 I think we'd be set for the future. I've liked what I've seen out of Wiggins so far this year. Both he and towns have played far better on defense this year. I think that once the Butler charade is over, we will start to see our young guys blossom.

As you said, no FA's are willing to come here, so we must rely on draft picks panning out. It was bad fortune and good luck that we got Towns. And lets wait awhile before we compare A 22 year old Towns to a 30 year old Butler, or a 28 year old Davis. I absolutely think Towns can lead this team, role players make a huge difference, so if we keep a decent bench why not? You be honest, do you really want to wait for the "Godfather offer" draft picks to become elite? Lets stay inside the box, and build on Towns and Wiggins considering they actually want to be here.

100% agree: we made our bed with towns and Wiggins period.. all I was saying is do u listen to offers for towns?? I was asking over all thoughts for what we do after butler...

If he can bring last nights effort on a more consistent basis it'd be a mistake to trade KAT

And if he doesnt it would be a (lesser) mistake anyway. Did you compare KAT and Nowitzki numbers?

Yep. Rockets are getting abused too. Let that trade value shoot up baby!

Probably in the minority but I would do Fultz, Saric, and Bayless without any picks.

Wizards may be getting desperate too. I saw Kristen Ledlow (aho I enjoy) on NBATV the other day talking like the wolves are total morons for not taking the first deal offered to them. She kept repeating that Butler will walk and the way she said was like "Durrr he's going to leave guys!" I dont know why she cant understand that his value is still going up as more teams desire him and make offers. We are what in week 2 of the season? Like the wolves got some time to find a deal here.

It really is stupid. Just because a trade request is made doesn't mean the deal has to happen that week. How many months was it before the Timberwolves traded Kevin Love? How many months was it before the Nuggets traded Carmelo Anthony? This is hardly unprecedented. Only reason I thought there was a chance a trade would be expedited was if Butler flat-out refused to play for the team until a deal was made.

I think that we have time till deadline. Butler cares only about money, we need the best return possible. YEs, we can damage KATs and Wiggins value but it is already lowest possible. I think Taylor has reassured Butlers camp so they will not push drama in social media.

IDK, They are looking like busts, but I have only watched two games, and fantasy stats.

Maybe a fresh start would do it for them. Are you willing to take the risk?

Keita Bates-Diop needs an audition, he'll probably get a chance after the Butler trade and we're in the Lotto. It'd be a quick 2-3 year mini rebuild but we'd be in better shape. The warriors would be split and who knows about the rockets.

Teague Butler and Taj are good and may help us win now but they're just band-aids. We'll never win a ring with any of them, its time to move on.

I'd do Saric, Fultz, Bayless, Chandler for Butler, Dieng.

Bum or bust.

Why? We need picks, Okogie is the future at the 2 and I want someone taller like Wigs or a younger prospect through the draft @ the 3

Why? Because those two JR and HW are established players and JRich has a huge upside from what he is already, plus we get a rim protector that allows KAT to play the 4. The draft pick will help in the future. But 3-4 draft picks only wastes time with KAT and Wigs, and do you really trust the picks in year 2019-21-23. Hell I'm getting old, I cant afford to wait given our draft history.

This isnt the Duncan spurs, *almost* beating them being the real team is exactly what I am saying. Its like saying we *almost* beat the blazers or something, thats not a 2 seed, thats a borderline playoff team.

Your'e gonna keep waiting either way... You're saying JR and HW put us in immediate contention? Can KAT guard Giannis, Lebron, Tatum, PJ Tucker, Doncic, Tobias Harris, Aaron Gordon and other current starting 4's? All no

Me too. But as worst case scenario I'd do this trade with PHI. I see a lot of potential in Fultz, but he is bad fit next ot Simmons. Also trading Butler to PHI makes East very intriguing.

TOR, MIL, looks very good. BOS, PHI can be at that level by the end of the season.

I get the waiting game, but do you really think KAT is going to want to wait another 3-6 years for the picks to pan out? JR and HW gives us a shot at the PO's and that is what our goal should be.
Plus, again, given our draft history, ho many times will we hit on an Okogie? Plus we wouldn't even know what Okogie could do if not for injuries/rest for Butler and Wigs. As long as Thibs is coach, he will insist on a 9 man rotation. No room for rookies.

I agree you have to try and be a playoff team soon. We cant do another 4 year plus rebuild cycle with KAT and Wigs. These guys need to be getting playoff wars and challenges now so when they are 27 and at their peak they have all the experience needed to try and win a title. The sad truth is odds are we wont sniff a title because its so hard to build a title team in the NBA, especially for a market like ours. Butler was a our best shot at doing that but that has blown up. We will need to find someway to get another start soon, within the next couple years.
