One thing is for certain...

Guys like Marvin, Lamb, Cody and Willy are pretty regularly squandering some excellent coaching work by this staff.

It's time to start dishing out taxes and penalties.

I really do not understand why JB went with that defensive lineup that could not stop OKC nor score in the last 4 or 5 minutes. Reminds me of last year. Batum is not a 2nd option and actually does not want the ball at the end of a game and probably should not even be on the court in crunch time. Hope JB has learned a lesson and closes with Monk in these type of games and that we see less of Kemba having to play hero ball.

Is this going to be the season of blowing comfortable 15+ point leads?

Awesome.

I really don't like watching Monk and Willy play basketball.

So dumb.

This team is great, I would just like to upgrade the PF position. Marv has been great for us but his play dropped last year and I don't see that improving. Aaron Gordon would be great and we can send either MKG or Marv plus a pick or two.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

If we just had league average player at the PF position we would be 7-2 or 6-3. So sick of watching Marvin clank wide open shots. He also missed an open 2 footer right at the basket to kill our run in the 3rd quarter and the game swung the other way.

We have got to make a change soon. Marvin isn't fit for the current meta. What PF targets can we trade for.

Marv is really looking like a sixty year old man out there, I'm not seeing any sign of it getting better either. If he's not shooting lights out he's simply not a NBA starter right now. That stood out as the biggest Achilles heel from the onset. Cody gave his usual token effort but Adams is just too big and OKC has a lot of springy long guys like Jerami Grant. If there was ever a match up to play Biz it's on Steven Adams.

I actually thought Lamb had a decent game. He didn't seem as clueless as previous. I miss this Nic Batum:

The dream (at least mine) would be Millsap, knowing he has a team option next year (so 'technically' he is an expiring contract i guess).

His age does not match their core (supposedly) : Jokic, Murray, Porter, Harris.

But Hornets don't have anyone movable (read, no Miles, no Kemba) that might interest them unfortunately except maybe MKG (and salaries would not match).

Pretty sure Millsap still has 2/3 years of elite plays in the tank, at the very least offensively if his defense had to go south a bit. Then you replace Lamb by Richardson/Simmons/Bradley (who is struggling in LA) or someone like that, reachable for the Hornets.

Kemba - Graham
Richardson? - Monk
Batum - Bacon
Millsap - Miles
Cody - Biyombo

Knowing Biyombo's contract ends in 2020. But that roster with appropriate filler (3D wing obviously and wing scorer + a floor general to complement Kemba & Graham, a Lin return ?) would be fun to watch imo

he made 3-4 mind numbing errors yesterday that overshadowed some of his great offense.

Its a sad state of affairs when all we did for 3 seasons is draft PF's and we still dont have a PF.

Vonleh is doing pretty well though ;)

Vonleh is actually averaging 8.4 pts, 8.5 rebs and shooting .400 from 3 (only 2-5) coming off the bench for the Knicks this year which is better than Marvin Williams across the board. He's the same age as Devonte Graham which is kind of crazy since he's already on team #4. (23)

Marving probably won't shoot .359/.625 ft the whole year though. He's in a pretty terrible slump so far this season.
