Not thrilled with it but I’m definitely not surprised.

There will lots of teams moving in the coming weeks.
6 of the top 11 teams this week either will or may have significant opportunities to lose.
Ucf has to keep winning and hope for historically massive chaos with the teams ahead of them.
My only gripe is UF being above us. I get it that their two losses are against current Top 10 teams, but it's still two losses.
That said I get it. our SOS is a joke right now (if we're not looking at last season). We face some stiffer competition to end the year. Just take care of business and we'll see how things shake out. Last year we ended at #12, so the fact we're starting there is a huge improvement.

UCF's winning streak can officially drink.
21 in a row.
I'll have more thoughts later, but what a ride man.

Re: #12 UCF [8-0]: vs Navy
Temple came out with a great game plan, found advantageous matchups much of the game, and the QB Russo was lights out.
Temple was well coached and is a good football team.
The defense made a lot of adjustments at the half, but still had trouble getting stops.
Milton was still not 100%, McCrae was fantastic. I can only hope that JH witnesssed the up the middle success that the other RB's had that were not named Killans. Killans had some great contributions too, but thank goodness the madness of running AK up the middle was reduced.
A win is a win.
21-0 is 21-0, I'll tune out the naysayers.

Re: #12 UCF [8-0]: vs Navy
Milton physically looked fine to me. He looked quicker and more willing to run than he did a few weeks ago. His downfield accuracy was just uncharacteristically terrible.
Over threw two deep balls in the first half on the same drive that both would have gone for touchdowns. His INT was a straight overthrow of a wide open player over the middle.
The offensive line was dominant. All the backs had room to run. McCrae has outstanding vision and doesn't go down nearly as easily as Killins. In my opinion, he has earned the "lead" running back spot with McGowan (power) and Killins (speed/pass catching) as the complimentary backs.
Only 236 yards allowed and 6 points in the 2nd half defensively. Say what you want about Randy Shannon, but this is twice now where they've made massive halftime adjustments in their favor.

I was wondering how that would split out, hooray for adjustments but good lord can it not be that far off in the first half? Give up nearly 700 yards every night and eventually it's going to bite you in the ass.
Just keep winning!

UCF looked quicker over all. They were striking deep, where Temple was consistent, but they didnt seem to be able to stretch the field.
but the dirty play by UCF defenders (twisting ankle, DL bouncing on the RB after he was down that caused a penalty on the RB) was the first time i had seen them play like that. I was surprised by those plays. It wasnt the whole team, but there were some dirty plays and some bad calls by the refs that went the way of UCF. i believe UCF would have won without those calls, but there were some obvious calls that even the ESPN announcers were able to point out.

Yes props to RS and the defense for making the adjustments and making plays in the 2nd half but you cannot get in the habit of spotting teams so many points early on. Especially in this part of the schedule coming up.

Re: #12 UCF [8-0]: vs Navy
Yea Milton was just a little off on his deep throws. That'll happen when you can't practice for a few weeks, lol. Having said, that still put up 52! That's nuts.
Temple really came to play, and had a great strategy. Shannon really seems to do a good job of getting his guys to adjust at half time (0 pts my Memphis and 6 by Temple in the 2nd half of each game). Defense needs to step it up in the first half though. Temple is a good team though. What a long game though, I didn't get home until almost 12:30 and I only live 25 minutes away (getting out of the garage by the RWC was uncharacteristically bad).
Root for Pittsburgh tonight and Memphis to take care of ECU tomorrow. We could go from zero wins vs teams above .500 to three, lol (since that was a talking point for the CFP).
BTW - checkout this gem from Danny White today.

Great reaction ... as the opinions of Ucf are so polar.
When the Ucf and USF game last year was played, it was bad defense
When Georgia played Oklahoma in the semi's, it was an incredible shootout.
The condescending "put them in their place" put downs will never end.
Some of those put downs have merit, some are based off of generalities, and some are completely, factually wrong.
But that's ok, just keep winning.
21-0, something that more than 99% of schools will never be able to say.

Meanwhile our neighbors to the west had their local paper at our game and published this gem.

After these last few games, beating Navy, Cincinnati, USF and possibly Houston seems unlikely. This defense needs to step it up.

No game in our league is a given. We just out score teams we play, so Milton being healthy is critical.
I’m glad the first two are at home and hopefully the fourth.

So after listening to the talking heads this morning I’m really now beginning to hope someone else buys the tv rights to our conference.
