I expect this to be a one-day thing and that he'll still join the road trip.

Some good stuff on display in his first stint of real action. He looks already like a completely different player than the one that came out of A&M. Love the defense out on the island. Even when it looked like he was beat, he never was. Had his man measured the entire time. Used that long reach to block the shot. The 2 assists on tape were terrific. In particular the cross court dime from the post was an EXCELLENT read and delivery and the kind of play usually a more experienced player makes. Just more positive signs.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

Those clips look really good. Then again, Jordan MIckey looked really good playing for the Red Claws. Obviously I'd rather see Williams looking good up there, then looking bad, but it's hard to get too excited since other players have also looked so good playing in the G-league, and not so good playing for the bigs.
I'm just glad he's getting some real game time in, regardless of of the high-light clips.

Jordan Mickey never looked as good in a NBA game as Williams did in his first real playing time. I actually think Brad Stevens should play him more, at least while Theis is out. He is freakishly althetic.

Yeah, Williams is a bit behind NBA speed, as far as the whole court goes.
But in his area, he is King. No doubts about this Kid.

Don't get me wrong, I love what I've seen so far with Williams. I think he has an enormous amount of potential. I'm just saying that the G-League isn't really the best assessment of talent (Again, Mickey had some amazing games for the Red Claws, but it obviously didn't carry over to the NBA).
I really want to see Williams getting some time with the C's, and not just end of game garbage time. I would love to see him getting some quality minutes with the top players, playing against some of the best players.
Stats aside, though, I do like him getting some actual playing time with the Red Claws. G-League games are much better than team scrimmages.

Williams will get more time, as he catches up, so to speak, to the NBA speed of playing.
He does show quite of bit of promise, in NBA games, as well as G-League.
