For this team to be a playoff team I think they will need 7-8 guys producing.

Bradley and Bev have been doing a good job defensively but anemic offensively.

I have to agree with MartinToVaught with regards to hiring Budenholzer. The Bucks may have had the players but they were certainly underachieving under Jason Kidd. Coach Bud has already gotten the team to make significant improvements offensively and defensively by creating an offense that is the most efficient at producing open 3-point shots in the NBA as well as tailoring a defensive scheme that fits their personnel.

He was a long-time disciple under Gregg Popovich and is showing exactly what he can do as a coach as long as he also doesn't have GM duties. Players from the Hawks improved and loved playing for him and, from the looks of things, he's doing the same thing for the Bucks as an instant upgrade for that organization.

Meanwhile, Ballmer & Co. chose to not only stick with Doc but extend him as well. To be fair, Doc has improved and the team was supposedly pursuing Jay Wright from Villanova, but Budenholzer was clearly a better option that the Clippers chose to pass up on in favor of Doc twice now. That is absolutely inexcusable.

With this same team though, what do you think he would do with them? I get that you guys think he's a better coach than Doc but with the team Doc is coaching now, do you think Bud would make the playoffs with this team in the West or get more out of this roster than Doc?

I do think this team would look a lot better with Bud as the coach, actually. For one thing, there'd be no "former Celtic bias," which means no favoritism and excessive minutes/touches for Avery. That alone would make us better without even considering Bud's actual system and ability to make adjustments in games.

More importantly, Bud would have gotten more out of the Lob City teams than Doc ever did if we had hired him in 2013 like we should have. We wouldn't have choked that Houston series away if Bud was the coach.

With how toxic the relationship was between Chris and Blake, I'm not sure who's getting more out of that team. Even if Shaq and Kobe weren't best friends, they still respected one another and put the BS aside when it came to playing together (of course until Kobe went rogue in that Detroit series...lol)
