i have to keep counting to make sure there are five Rockets on the floor
why there is always a Nets player open?

Lack of familiarity, compounded by weak communication, especially after the initial action.
Plus new freedom of movement rules means guys can't rely on traditional defensive tactics like checking cutters and challenging screeners.

opponent is using our switch on everything against us
switch Capela out the paint then no one else can guard the painted area

Teams tried that early last year too (usually in hopes of isolating Capela on defense on the perimeter) but physical guys like Tucker, Harden, Gordon, and Ariza were allowed to force screeners to work plus they could make contact with cutters so the weak side didn't get exploited.
Can't do that anymore...at least for now.
