Sigh.

Exactly. Anyone who thinks that he will solve this roster's problems to any real degree doesn't understand the full magnitude of the problems...

But Casey had one and wasn't even playing him regular minutes before the injury...

In a perfect world, yeah, you bring in Korver and get more shooters on the floor. In the real world where we've got a coach that leans on veterans, this would mean 2 more years of Luke watching from the bench because to Casey he's just the replacement with "experience". We've seen it with Galloway getting un-earned minutes.

Bullock not returning is even more reason to get Kennard regular minutes this season. Bringing in an old guy with a similar skill set when Casey already seems stingy with his minutes is not the way you do that.

Worry about replacing Bullock in the offseason. At the rate he's playing now that can probably be done with any SG from the GR Drive.

I disagree with the leaning on vets take. Bruce Brown getting meaningful burn so far this season is my main reason why. Hell just last night Brown played 29 minutes and GR3 only played 14, Galloway 6, Calderon 16.

Sure, but that's largely because he's the only guard on the team that can defend... Especially with Bullock out. The difference with Korver/Kennard is that their strengths and weaknesses are very similar. If Casey had an option similar to Brown but with more experience, we can guess who he'd go for.

I just think Korver is redundant, unnecessary, and the downside of eating Kennard's minutes far outweigh the upside that I'm not even sure exists...

Yeah, to me its pretty obvious that its mostly defensive reasons why Luke Kennard can't regularly get minutes. Especially with a noted defensive minded coach like Casey. Luke's defensive issues aren't likely to go away anytime soon either.

But not to derail the thread, this is about Kyle Korver. Short of getting him for complete crap like has been bandied about in this thread, I'm not advocating going after him. Was merely pointing out I can see why some people would like to bring him in.

Might as well just ask Ray Allen to un-retire.
Or ask Jimmer Fredette to come back from China.
