Grant is literally 39/135 from 3 since the beginning of the 17/18 season. Among the 250 guys with at least 100 attempts over the last two season's, Grant is at #238 with that shooting percentage. But yes, he does look good shooting it.

In how many games, about 90? So he's taking about 1.3 3pt attempts a game in that span, and making about 29% of them. That's not a big problem, or part of his game. He does look more comfortable (confident) shooting them this year compares to last.

westbrook's attacking style this year to the rim has clearly been influenced by schroder imo.

Now if only Schroder's finishing at the rim style was influenced by Westbrook.

a four game losing streak is about as meaningful as a four game winning streak. we know what this team is and what it isn't. weren't you one of the guys telling us about playoff melo all year last season?

How do you mean? You think Schröder somehow got him to go the rim more?

No, I was one of the guys who confident that a former superstar who was a solid catch and shoot threat in his career would be a solid catch and shoot guy on this team where he'd get wide open looks... then he forgot what a basketball was

I stand by all of these comments at the time... Utah had nobody to guard Russ, PG, or Melo they bricked wide open easy ass shots and we all know about Billy with regards to 2Pat last year (and this year so far for that matter playing Grant 30mpg for some awful reason)

You can stand by them all you want but the earth isn’t flat. It’s better to just acknowledge the truth and move on.

Lol @ the fans who are like “It’s not possible for Westbrook to learn from Schroder! Blasphemy!!!”

...

It’s not a knock on ya’ll’s beloved Westbrook (who is not a pure 1 and hasn’t been asked to spread the ball around) to learn from a guy who is very adept at playing a more controlled game. Schroder makes good decisions. He’s not without his mistakes, but he knows how to run an offense.

Nobody's saying it's blasphemy. They're saying its ridiculous. Because it is. And lauding Schroder's decision making is....something. Because he's not good at that. Like at all.

Schroder is just a lesser version of Russ. He is smaller as in tiny as in standing next to him I really can't believe he is a NBA player! He is not the ball handler that Russ is. He can't penetrate a defense the way Russ does. He can't finish at the rim the way Russ does. He makes worse decisions than Russ. He shoots worse than Russ. That isn't to see that Schroder is bad at ball handling, penetrating or finishing, but he isn't as good at them as Russ. The one thing Schroder is better at than Russ is passing. Russ isn't going to suddenly become a pinpoint passer so that is irrelevant. I'm also not saying Russ is a bad passer, but Schroder is in that elite tier of passing ability with CP, Stockton, Nash, etc. Russ is not on THAT level and never will be. Schroder does not have as good of an overall game as anyone else I mentioned and never will.

Unless Schroder is a film room junkie, like Kobe famously was, and can pass something from that on to Russ there is NOTHING that Schoder can teach Russ about basketball. I've never heard of Schroder being focused on film and I'm going to guess that he's more like Russ and is from the Iverson school of why are we talking about practice and film and crap when there are games to play.
