My question is: would he be better if he was drafted by another team? How much of Lukas sucess is becouse of his team and organization is overall better? Becouse as of now he seems to be running away with the ROY trophy which I would really wanted Ayton to get... :(

I think Luka would be fine with Igor.

I just wonder who Ayton would make it over. I guess no Cousins this year, but lots of bigs...enough to where I don't think Jokic or Gobert made it last year. I don't think he'd make it over them. Or AD or Towns. Not sure how many Cs usually make it.

Well, I was just saying in general mostly. We have controll of him for 8 years at least. He will make an all star team sooner or later.
I was mostly asking / wondering if he would be better on a better team, with a better organization, and leadig the (very) early ROY race instead Luka.

Doubtful. He's have the same problems anywhere. And some teams he might not be starting yet.

I wonder if Zwicker deleted this cause of the backlash he was getting.

I wanna see Ayton run harder. People keep saying he's an amazing athlete but he really just jogs around like the Morris twins/Chriss. He does have quick feet when he's trying on defense and when he changes direction to roll though, so it's obvious he's not showing us everything he can do.

There were a lot of people calling him an “Ayton hater” and just bashing him for it in replies to the tweet.

From what i saw, he can get tired really quickly. I mean Igor probably pulled him out of games more than he wanted. Maybe i'm wrong but he sure looks gassed a lot of times when he plays long stretches.
All in all he still plays a lot and is capable to provide huge minutes, so that's a big plus.

I think Ayton has a ton of potential, but needs to work with a mindset coach that could develop some more fire/competitiveness in him. I think it's also easy to look at his boxscore stats and think that he's an elite rebounder because he's averaging 10.9 rpg, but that's not necessarily the case, since he's playing a ton of minutes too (32 mpg). In reality, Ayton still has some room to improve even in the rebounding department - among big men who play any remotely significant minutes he's only 15th in rebounds per possession. I'd like him to get into the top10 at least.

Ayton dominated for like 5 minutes in the 3rd quarter last night. If he could sustain that for half the game, I would be super happy.

I would be happy if Koko knew how to coach him.

I'm starting to have serious doubts about the offense he's running given the talents of Ayton.

That article was nice...hopefully he follows through on this....

I was reading through the Ayton vs Doncic first thread, and came across this....talking about his strengths/weaknesses in college..doesn't sound too much different does it..particularly the second paragrap...

Ayton is one of 5 freshman to ever average 20+/10+ and has the best TS%, TRB%, AST%, TOV%, and BLK% of all 5, yet for some reason it felt like he should've done more. He has ideal center size and length, insane mobility and agility, elite athleticism, and the same build as many great past centers. His footwork is very good, his shot looks solid with translatable percentages, and he can do everything from bury you in the post and dunk on you to pick-and-pop and nail a 3.

He settled for jump shots too much, but it's tough to blame him with how few post touches he got. The problem is that his defense left a lot to be desired: average at best shot blocking, poor weak-side rotations, near complete lack of boxing out, lack of physicality when defending the post. You can blame Miller for having a center play power forward all season and not adjusting his system so he isn't hard hedging and recovering on ball screens with no positive defenders on the team, but at times Ayton showed a troubling lack of awareness on off-ball defense that will need to improve to reach his ceiling. I don't think the league has left behind Ayton though. He showed all year that he has the ability to defend on the perimeter, and he'll be a nightmare for defenses to matchup with if small ball can't keep him off the court.

Not looking good for us. We tried that for 2 years with Bender and nothing has changed with him

Can't compare Ayton and Bender. After first 10 games of his career Ayton already has more points, rebounds and assists than Bender had in 43 games he played as a rookie. I think Bender's passiveness comes not only from his lack od fire but also because he simply isn't a good player. Ayton can be a beast if only he tries, hopefully he realize this soon.

Bender has never once in any form of his career looked/played like Ayton.

Good read.

Ayton can be the leader that we need in the locker room.
