He's also been one of the best prognosticators of guys coming out of the draft. Especially underrated guys -- I could give you a long list. Anyone who's been here a while could.

IOW, he's one of our most valuable posters. You, OTOH, are brand new -- & very welcome too! But, maybe a little more respect would be advisable...? :)
He is not getting any...

He's also not even in SAG.

Dude is seriously a military retired EDUCATOR and sometimes gentleman. Most times peeps wish he'd stop Talking...STFU already CCJ.

New or not, the horse has been beat several times. We are all legendary in our own right. No disrespect, it is called sarcasm.
Now you sound like Wizards management

Not telling us anything we don’t already know bud. But this is kinda hilarious coming from a raptors fan

The piece de resistance being, "not here to troll". Hilarious. What an expletive halfwit.

And btw, most of us are happy if this finally results in EG getting ---- canned after 15 years of suffering under his "brilliant" stewardship. Has there ever been a GM who lasted longer with fewer accomplishments and more colossal idiot moves to his name then this guy? Granted the Unseld-O'Malley years were pretty horrific in terms of F.O. work and whatever the name was of the idiot before Unseld. It all kind of blends together.
EG I thought did wrong by Eddie Jordan in 2008. That's when I started to not care for his work.

Tapscott as interim coach...OMG bad, bad, bad!

The next series of gaffes was his drafting players by measurables instead of winning, character, or intelligence. Having young Blatche, Pecherov, and McGee with no one to mentor them was really bad roster construction. Who builds teams that way???

Pecherov over Millsap-- Literally one year of posts...about the guy at Lousiana Tech. :(

VESELY over Leonard, Klay, Faried, Jimmy Butler... yuk!

Why keep going? 2011 this GM should a been gone.

Not "root of all evil," no. But, a lot of people (not to suggest that you were one of them, btw, as I don't remember whether you were or weren't) had a lot to say about what a lousy player he was -- in this way, that way, one way or another. Which he certainly wasn't. & isn't -- though at 34 going on 35 he's not the player he used to be.

& a lot of people thought we did well to pick up Austin Rivers at the cost of no more than Marcin Gortat. Were you one? I don't recall.

Austin Rivers is one of the worst players in the NBA. Full stop.

So, it makes sense for CCJ (& for me) to remind us of these facts.

You're also missing the part where everyone was blaming Marcin for this teams dysfunctionality.
100%

This inspired my trolling. Gortat was an undervalued if aging lynchpin.

They did what they always do: BLAME a player scapegoat.

Yeah I hope you guys can get a rebuild going. Wall & Beal should fetch you some quality 1st rounders.

P.S. And by "joke" I didn't mean to imply the franchise as a whole, just this current mess where players are taking the clipboard from a coach and are drawing plays for themselves.
My thoughts are the season started Friday with Howard playing.

Stay the course.

STILL A PLAYOFF TEAM IN THE EAST...but they MUST address the salary CRAP situation created by EG.

No doubt if CCJ had been our guy picking in the draft the past 15 years? Well he’s likely have been hired away by the Spurs. :)

Amazing eye for talent. (I won’t bring up Mr Almond CCJ, but your love for him was admirable!)

He and I hyped Millsap endlessly, it was a home run pick....just one of at least 15 examples.
I started my Air Force career I. The 80s in SA. Lackland AFB.

Thanks, Induveca!

Some of Grunfeld's best moves have been when he acquired guys the Spurs organization developed first.

Enjoy your one year of Kawhi before fading back into oblivion.

Tyson's rants years back . :)

I agree that Kawhi will be a Clipper or a Laker next season. DeRozan OTOH is staying put.

Of course I appreciate what he contributed over the years. Did his play depreciate cobsiderably? Yes. My gripe with Gortat and a lot of players on this team was no personal accountability and he was the first to run his mouth. By no means was he our biggest problem but he was always going to be traded. If you're asking me if i prefer Rivers over Gortat, that's laughable. Rivers is awful. But I do prefer Howard over Gortat.
Non sequitur.

Howard's availability was separate from the bad trade. The trade was horrible for at least three reasons. Austin is not a good player yet his salary is exorbitant. Austin displaced a better player, Satoransky. No defense at all now. Gortat was a better asset than Rivers.

Why are we arguing about Gortat, it's pointless, everybody knows it was a terrible trade..

Not.
Everyone.

My point, ironically coming from ME, is the Wizards historically diss guys and trade low. Gortat gave years and years but in the end crossed Wall. Thus. Wizards make a knee jerk move.

Turning the page...

TODAY, Both Howard and Rivers played well in a WIN over the Knicks.
