Let's see him be more consistent first. Give it time and Trae will reach the level we know he can. Shooting like Curry and surpassing the best ever 3-point shooter is a reach.

The stat looks worse than it was.

Kevin Huerter looks like a player. He had a slow preseason and a slow start to the reg season but that's understandable after offseason wrist surgery on his shooting hand. These two look like they can be a scary backcourt in the future, but in order to start together they'll need to grow into at least average defenders.

Taurean Prince had a bounceback game but man it really irked me when Trae was at the line ready to shoot a technical foul FT, and Prince went over there and just took the ball from him. Then he proceeded to miss the shot. I get that Trae is a rookie, but that seemed very selfish on Prince's part.

Bob Rathbun said that Coach Pierce told Prince to take the freethrow. Speculated that CLP knew Prince is struggling with his confidence and wanted him to take it.

That's understandable, if it was by order of the coach. Didn't hear Rathbun's call on it.

It's a common tactic for ball players, helps the psyche watching the ball go through the net when they are struggling. That and I suppose he's a considered a more senior player on this current team but vets always vulture points from younger players, with or without coaching input.

There were some pluses and minuses in the kg household.

On the plus side, haven't heard from the Heat-fan BIL in a while. Could it be 'cause he assured me Young would be a bust? Could it be 'cause he knows his team has doubled-down on mediocrity and have become the new old Hawks in the Eastern Conference?

Eh, either way.

On the minus side, I heard a "Trae-TL!" call from the PA announcer. Check better be in the mail, Ryan Cameron. You know you stole that from me!

It is a colossal understatement to say that humankind has not crafted or created anything more hilarious than Slippery Stairs.

I guess you're right. Curry was shooting 43% from three in his first 10 games in his career, but he was only averaging 9.0ppg in his first 10 games.

Vinsanity! If only he dunked that play towards the end, next time~

Well done LP neutralizing Olynyk with Spellman instead of VC at the starting 4.

No Dragic, otherwise might be different...

Things are looking up for Heurter and Lin again, very promising.

A tale of two games, at the beginning both teams were hitting almost every shot, then both teams were missing gimmes.

What was Winslow thinking? Flagrant foul and ill-advised shots at the end.

Finally OK games from both Prince and Baze, hope Prince's ankle isn't serious.

Great game from Trey, if only his treys at the end fell!

Not to mention Prince is shooting 92% while Trey is at 70 something.
