Anyhow, best win of the season so far.

I am shocked that a player like Davis decides to take a weaker offensive player. Seems like a beta mindset. I understand the strategy of not getting cheap fouls, but you’d think Davis would take a defensive assignment of Adams personally.

Also it’s still amazing to me tbat you don’t capitalize sentences. My phone and computer auto capitalize, so I appreciate the effort

Would YOU want to guard Steven Adams for an entire game? :box:

Did Russ have a beta mindset when he let Roberson guard Harden?

I'm using this game for reference whenever someone doesn't appreciate Adams.

Damn Westbrook was finally in shape after his surgery (even if he was lazy on defense tonight). I think it will take at least 6 weeks before he comes back and even more to be able to play at 100%. I like Schroeder but as your main PG playing 40 minutes/night it's something else.
Only good thing is that Adams is finally playing very well this season.
It's time for PG13 to show up.

Schroder/George/Adams lineup data w/ no Westbrook (since Kings game).

Obvious adjustment seems to be having Abrines and/or Patterson out there with Schroder at all times. But you don't need data to tell you that.

Schroder will be fine, in my opinion, but if George isn't hitting shots, that is going to make the game so much harder. Biggest adjustment is going to be rotations with Felton out there. Definitely got to have Adams out there with Felton. I suspect Noel will play a chunk of minutes with starters so Adams can help the Felton lineups. I'd honestly be eager to see a second unit of George/Diallo/Abrines/Grant/Noel so we don't have to see Felton and so Patterson can stay on floor with Schroder. I also wonder how much burn Burton will get during this Westbrook-less team.

What he posted was like -56 with Grant, +30 something with abrines. 26 and 22 minutes respectively. Meaningless numbers basically.

It's too small to be sure, and their schedule is easy. depends how long hes out

Are we assuming that I am Anthony Davis in this hypothetical? Then I’d at least start on him

Did Russ have a beta mindset when he let Roberson guard Harden?

This is comparing apples to cinder blocks. Roberson is THE preeminent wing defender in the NBA. Mirotic is very close to a revolving door

Would be huge if Westbrook can come back December 11th against the Jazz (playing the jazz/pelicans/nuggets/clippers that week). Some crucial games for playoff contention there.
Not so optimistic about that but who knows...

Dude, Ferguson is getting better before our eyes. You watch him off the ball. He sticks with his man really well. If and when this guy can bulk up a bit and get better at fighting through screens he's going to be a really good defender.
