He'll show flashes this year, but next year will be his breakout. I said when he was drafted he would break out in his 3rd season. I've also said he'll be a great player. I'm sticking to both of those.

I'm also liking Diallo more. I don't think he is as useful as some want him to be this year, but I think he might be a solid player long-term. I believe I said Iguodala was his ceiling on this board and I hope he improves his shooting enough to get there. He has the raw talent to get there, but he is still raw and is a year or two away from being the type of impact player OKC needs.

I chose to watch my Titans play Monday night football since they hadn't played over 2 weeks. They won, and I was happy, only to find out about the Westbrook injury. Yikes. At least we got the win. Schedule is pretty manageable this month. Shroder is more than capable of putting up numbers, and Felton can run the bench. It's nice to have some depth for once. Just take the easy ones until Russ gets back.

A couple of quick thoughts:

-Defense was spotty in this one. You can't give up 60+ points in a half to these guys with Davis making like 4 shots. It looked like they weren't covering the whole floor. The corners and the backside was always open
-Alex Abrines is a changed man. The days of taking him out of a play just by running him off the 3pt-line are over. He's driving to the rim and passing out of drives now.
-Much better shot distribution from 3 these last 5 games. George 1st, Abrines 2nd and Patterson 3rd in attempts per game. They've combined for 16 a game on 41.3 % shooting. And then you get just 11 a game for Schröder, Grant, Ferguson, Westbrook and Diallo.
-The Westbrook injury sucks. We'll have to see what the MRI says. I hope it's just a couple of games. Shouldn't be that long unless it's a really bad sprain.
-Speaking of the Westbrook injury: This team has shown some toughness and heart during this winning streak. They go down big to both Charlotte and LA; they're down early to Washington; they lose Westbrook in the 3rd quarter of this game. Yet they've always found a way to battle back and win the game.

I don't think he'll be all star caliber or anything. I think a guy like Avery Bradley is his most realistic best case but I don't know if his offense will ever come along enough to do that (at least not here where he's getting so few shots per game).

Danny. Green.

Could see it for sure. That or Bruce Bowen if the offense never really comes along as far.

Having a guy like Schroeder makes things easier; Noel has also been a help, the ball movement was nice last night. It seemed as though the Pels were playing tough D in the last quarter to avoid their losing streak mess. One thing is for certain, this team is definitely different from last year. If they were 0-4 last year, they would have continued to 0-8 before winning, instead they won five straight. People did not like the Schroeder trade but it is certainly helping us thus far. The Melo virus has finally hit Houston. Lets hope the Westbrook is short term and we can still beat teams.

Brewer it's a realistic possibility, certainly not a ceiling.

I am shocked that a player like Davis decides to take a weaker offensive player. Seems like a beta mindset. I understand the strategy of not getting cheap fouls, but you’d think Davis would take a defensive assignment of Adams personally.

Also it’s still amazing to me tbat you don’t capitalize sentences. My phone and computer auto capitalize, so I appreciate the effort

Would YOU want to guard Steven Adams for an entire game? :box:

Are we assuming that I am Anthony Davis in this hypothetical? Then I’d at least start on him

You got some huevos man

Just getting a chance to watch this game. One game after saying that things were getting “contagious” between players instead of contentious, Michael cage begins the game by saying “ok I got one word-mouse in the House. That’s 3 words. I’m sorry. My bad.”

if you performed a lobotomy on charles barkley that removed his personality, you'd have michael cage.
