It really comes down to whether or not McCollum and Lilliard are willing to take the 3 like Kemba, or will they be baited into the midrange like Olidipo. They certainly have the guards to exploit the Bucks weakness, but not the shooting bigs. Bucks 127 Blazers 122. They have no hope of slowing Giannis who averaged 32 against them last year. 40+ tonight.

But really how are they going to even remotely stop us on O?

who tf is checking Giannis?

I think a combination of letting Giannis get whatever he wants by switching, .

I dont think that will work.

I think it only worked for the celtics because it was the first time Giannis saw it and he didn't shoot 50 times

To those worried about the scheme: Bud basically came out and said (and I'm paraphrasing here) "We need to get the basics down. We need to be solid on the basics of our defense before we start changing strategies."

It's very Pop. Only worry about us during the regular season. Worrying about them happens in the playoffs.
Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”

After a dunk I want Giannis to pose on the Blazers logo at center court. If you watched the Cowboys game last night you know what I'm taking about.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

This is a dangerous game. Portland is really good, and they'll be fired up to get this win against an 8-1 team at home.

I want to predict a win. I also want Damian Lillard on this team.

Pacers gave up 19 threes on 46 attempts the other day to Boston. Took a three and botched inbounds play for them to hold onto a one point win. Fire everybody and change everything, Indiana!

I've been riding for Lillard to the Bucks for years and the retort was always something along the lines of "rather have McCollum".

Member when we discussed Jabari for Damian?

Just looked it up, he has 2 more seasons after this one under contract. Gotta hope that Portland chokes in epic fashion again in the playoffs and they switch things up.

I sure do, it was one of my first discussions on this board. It was me and like 3 other people on the pro Lillard side. The most aggressive/adamant person got ridiculed and made fun of so much he quit posting (not CHL, someone else back then). I normally bite my tongue on bringing it up as a told ya so, but couldn't resist today since someone else brought it up first, haha.

ETA: I think searching is more difficult now. But a year or so after that once Lillard kind of kept killing it I went and found that thread and summarized all the bashing of Lillard that was in it. Basically just calling him a chucker, etc.
Resident Lillard truther since 2015.

I just lurked back then (and still) but man, hindsight is truly 20/20, huh? Hopefully our new found success leads to contender options for free agency.

Go Bucks !

Ugh. 4am over here as well, and I do need my sleep.

This is why I love NBA League Pass.
I wake up the next morning, make me some coffee while leaving my cellphone off, and start watching the game.
Perfect morning, that is, if we win

3am UK, even worse. Usually I watch the games at 6am. Always turn to ‘no spoilers’ on the app and I get to skip the commercials. I love it like that :)
