Alright, if yall are going to sit here and tell me that Jared Dudley is better for this team than Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, and should be playing over him, then I'm not arguing it. Its your opinions. I watched with my own eyes this argument get blown up but I'll be fair and not base that off of one game.

if Caris LeVert's ability to score solely relies on him having a stretch 4 out there to get lanes to drive, then either he's not really that good or you guys are putting too much stock into Jared Dudley's impact on the floor.

Also, Spencer Dinwiddie plays plenty of minutes with Davis/RHJ and he seems to get to the cup just fine. Seems like something's not adding up

I'd prefer it not be dudley, id rather it be Kurucs or some stretch 4 we draft. For me ive never seen our offense operate as close to the way it has with dudley on the floor. And that isnt because he is better then RHJ, but sometimes Fit > talent. and for me its not even about winning, i dont care about wins. but i think at least 50% why Allen/Levert/Russell/diwiddie have played better this year is because of that spacing. that 40% three point shooting PF taking a big away. He also is pretty savy, like a coach on the floor.

Again, its 10 games, so who knows... if i thought it was close id say put in RHJ anyway, but from what ive seen its a night and day enormous difference in spacing

I think the bold is closer to the truth. even WITH dudley Levert seems to be less successful in games ro stretches where a team has their bigs in the paint or an intimidating presence. My area i thought levert needed to improve the most in coming this year was finishing in traffic and getting to the FT line. those are both going very well for him, and alot of it has to do with going up vs 1 bigman instead of 2

Also, Spencer Dinwiddie plays plenty of minutes with Davis/RHJ and he seems to get to the cup just fine. Seems like something's not adding up

Dinwiddie is playing more vs backups and has also played alot with dudley/kurucs. we will know more after 20-25 games when we can see the on/off and lineup splits. but to me from my eye test its extremely difinitive to the point where its not even worth it to consider having someone at PF who isnt a stretch 4

Right now we have 133 minutes logged for our starting lineup and no other lineup with 40+ minutes. we need more data. other then that its just our opinions/speculation

I agree that we need more data to really have an honest discussion, you're right.

I'm not knocking Dudley as a player, I've been one of his biggest supporters, but seeing RHJ return to form was a huge difference maker out there. I think we're better with him on the floor on both ends, I don't care what position he plays.

I am highly skeptical of LeVert's success only being due to the presence of a stretch 4. We'll see what happens.

It's not that Dudley is better than Rhondae it's a different offense 4 out 1 n or even 5 out. Like Prok said fit beats out talent in this case.

“Really the change was what best fit our personnel,” Atkinson said. “I come from that vein, our whole philosophy, what fits our personnel better than what fits Kenny Atkinson best, or our staff, or [general manager] Sean [Marks], but what fits our players. That’s how I think about it.”
“Instead of four-out, one-in, we’re doing a lot more five-out. We have a lot more motion out of that. That does free up a lot more spacing,” Spencer Dinwiddie said. “We still have some of that four-out, one-in look. But to start, we’re trying to keep it as spaced as possible.”

After struggling to the second-worst field goal percentage in the league at 44.1 last year, that’s not a shock. The move gives Russell, LeVert and Dinwiddie room to work.

“We tinkered with our basic motion offense, putting guys like Spencer, D’Angelo, Caris in different spots to kind of handle and facilitate,” Joe Harris said. “[It’s] definitely more spacing, more emphasis on getting the ball to the second side, playing with the pass, and not trying to get too stagnant.”

Damn your stubborn bro.

RHJ decided to trash talk Embiid after the game so we can thank him when Joel drops 50 on us next time.

Well, one thing to point out, they turned it over 30 times against us... most uptempo/defensive/open court guys will look good when that happens.

i dont think leverts success is only due to that either, but i think its a major factor
