Re: Butler has requested a trade, the saga continues
I think fultz, saric, Covington and the Miami pick for Butler and teague would be better than any other deal from Miami or Houston. We would cut almost 20m and get young potential starters in fultz and saric

Um this doesn’t even work.. $$ u can’t just add teague and not take back 20 million from him.
It would be fultz, saric, Covington for butler.

It concerns me that some want to take on the Fultz project. I think it's the high risk/reward gamble they want to make. But for me, I'm sick of these types of players and the Timberwolves haven't shown a great ability to coach players up, or build their confidence. That's the last kind of player I want to see them adding more of. Find more kids like Okogie that are going to be lower risk but have the mentality and natural confidence that they want to play and develop themselves no matter who they are playing with. That's who Lavine was too. Middle round workhorses. Forget these diva projects from the top of the rounds.

Yeah. Fultz has a Wiggins vibe to him..i'd rather go after a pretty young guy like Richardson still

I for one don’t want fultz.. and I was one before in the chatter talking about trading Wiggins over lavine because I’d rather have a worker than pure talent that puts in zero effort .
I was just pointing out that teams at 101.86 million plus have to be within 25% of each other.. using a website or not doesn’t change trade rules. I’m confused as why espn is off there.. now I’m thinking I’m crazy.... And a simple fix is sending chandler back with teague and it’s closer to legal. Still not perfect though.

Re: Butler has requested a trade, the saga continues
My ideal deal is still Richardson/Olynk or Whiteside, and a first. Thats a package that would help right away and give depth. Okogie/Richardson backourt could be a defensive terror. We badly need a physical big.Butler would be fantastic in Miami

Anyone have any ideas/info why Butler didn't make the trip with Tyus? Could he be having conversations/meetings(are they in LA already) with teams considering trading for him?

That's pretty awesome of Jimmy. I wonder if Tyus ends up getting traded with him.

Jeff Teague is bugged in the ESPN trade machine. It has him as 0 salary for some reason. This has been a known issue for months and it still isn't fixed.

Yep, the Trade Machine kind of sucks; just eye-ball the salaries to see if they make sense while using it.

Wonder why Jimmy didn't invite KAT and Luol

My guess, Deng can affort his own charter. And Jimmy and KAT just don't like eachother like that.

I would've given him the benefit of the doubt before and acknowledge this as "hey, he's a nice guy and did something for his teammate."
But after a couple of months of what he did to our team and franchise? That punk needed a good PR hit, what better way to show that through something like this? It just stinks of phoniness for me. Leak doing something good to the media. 'K, cool. Great for Tyus to be the beneficiary though
