Jamal Murray had 48pts in a win vs Boston. Denver red hot start, proving you can build a pretty good team without high draft picks if you draft for skill instead of measurements. It can be done but you would want to draft basketball players instead of athletes.

The double double he put up last night was very impressive. He is starting to have a big impact on the game and the stronger he gets, the more playing time he will get and more he can push out Vucevic and start our new era!

I actually think Vuc will start until he is traded, which I think (hope) will be sooner rather than later....
Bamba is going to be a very good player. I like him alot. I just wanted Young more. He was everything we needed. But im not trying to make it sound like I dont like Bamba. I think he will be a defensive juggernaut when he gets stronger and learns. Once he gets a pg that can get him the ball in good spots he will score more too. He just wont be a guy who can take over games offensivly. Which is what I wanted

It might go down as the best draft since the Lebron/Wade draft. I think Jaren Jackson ends up being the best player.

There is definitely some talent in this past draft but I think 5 years from now it will be Luka with a good sized group of guys right there. I do think Bamba can be a special player once he begins to figure things out. He has the ability to completely change a game defensively with that length and if he ever becomes a consistent shooter?

Many have voiced their opinion against John Wall and I don’t disagree.

However ...

Given that outside of AG we have the luxury of being built on small rookie deals for the next 3-5 years, we could be one of the few teams to swallow Wall’s contract and survive.

Perfect or not. Overpaid or not. John Wall is a MASSIVE upgrade to what we currently have or could realistically hope for in free agency.

So long as it doesn’t cost us one of BIG, is it worth it? Surely a draft pick and all our expiring deals go their way.

I don't disagree... it's just hard for some folks to get past a guy who doesn't have the measurables. It was a tough battle to defend/support Trae Young.

But with our pick and what was left on the board, Bamba was a good pick. Only one that would've tempted me was Mikal Bridges. Huge man crush there.

There's an article up from Zach Lowe on John Wall's contract. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25187751/zach-lowe-john-wall-bradley-beal-washington-wizards-nba

We just got done paying off Ernie Grunfeld's overpay of Arenas and now we'd bail him out again? We'd really pay 40+ for all those seasons for a player that has gotten fatter each year and pledged his love to the nightlife and partying and having a good time? Isn't the reason they want to trade the so-called franchise player is because he shows no signs of being a winning player? Isn't the team built around him, and talented and yet perform like a flaming pile of poo?

What would make him successful here? Sure he's better than what we have. Would he put us in contention? No. We'd be no better off than Washington, and how would we add to the team once he is here? Would he be a good teammate to whoever came? I don't see anyone knocking down the door to go play with him in DC so why would they come here? He's about himself and I hope we wouldn't bring him in. They may be going a different way in terms of character since Mr. Devos isn't around anymore, but Wall doesn't fit the character of the team. He'd probably have J Isaac at the strip clubs in Tampa on off nights, lol. I guess if you want to get out of suckage hell then you do it for the butts-in-seats but i think they would regret it just like Arenas if they did it.

24 and 15... we couldn't use real basketball players here.

We totally should have grabbed him at 6.

Oh, wait ...
No we totally shoulda done whatever it took to move to 4. That trade leaked the day before the draft. If you could go back in time right now would you take Parsons contract to move to 4? I would have. And I said I would the second the trade leaked.

Your "baby" shoots 25% for 3 ,that's new Curry you all were talking about?
he missed 13 of last 14 attemps for 3. In two games.

Turner gets outplayed for two years by Sabonis ,by wide margin. Somehow at age of 22 he gets worst every year.
WSC is rim running center that can't really rebound or play defense. He has impressive stamina and due pace they play gets lot of great chances for dunks but in general he is more poor man Deandre Jordan/McGee . 88% of all FGA he took were inside 10 feet.

12 teams missed on Booker. Still guy has one of worst win-lose percentages among active players. And if you look to co-relation between his scoring and team record you will figure that more he shoots, less defense he plays and worst record they have.

Hezonja was botched pick, but aside of Booker ( who's true value is probably closer to Wiggins than most people are willing to admit ) non of names- Winslow,Johnson, kaminsky, Turner, WSC;Mudiay would really make team much better.

I laugh at that magazine cover. Not because of Young, but because of the names showcased on the right. One of those names is definitely not like the others. Not even close.
