Trae's first pro back-to-back. Not the most difficult as Charlotte to Atlanta is like a 30 minute flight. He's likely losing his legs a bit already.
(One of the myriad reasons to bring him along slowly.)
Omari with a huge night.

Also...DAMN!!!!
An UNDRAFTED ROOKIE just schooled an undrafted veteran. That's some nice symmetry. Or is it irony?
(Every scout who advised passing on Trier in the draft in favor of a younger player with more upside should be immediately placed on probation.)

Ah, dude got suspended ... twice for PED's ... in college ... at Arizona?!
Those 4 things (getting suspended, for PED's, in college, at Arizona) are hard to do independently. To do them all is an unprecedented feat. The questions about the dude were more than fair and remain imho. Had not much to do with his relative age.

Trae's been excellent with his playmaking, top 5 in the NBA in assists, but we really need his 3-point shot to start falling. Just 1-13 in the last two games from 3 and now he's at around 27% on the season. Just two turnovers last night was good to see.

I went back to check Steph Curry's first year shooting numbers, thinking they may have been low too. But no, he had .437 his first year.
But much more shocking ... were you guys aware that Mr. Curry is shooting .505 from deep so far this year, and averaging over 31 points (on 20.3 FGAs per game) and 6 assists per game. His overall shooting percentage is .525. These are insane numbers.
20.3 is the largest number of shots per game he has ever taken. He took 20.2 the year he was unanimous MVP -- and he had 30.1 points per game that year on significantly lower shooting percentages. (.504 and .454)

Yeah, at 27%, Trae has the worst 3pt% on the team.

I'm sure it will start falling, eventually.
Thanks for the honesty.MorbidHEAT wrote:My dislike for Lin started during Linsanity. It was absurd. It's probably irrational dislike at this point, but man he gets on my nerves. He's been tearing us up though.

Trae needs more catch and shoot attempts from 3- currently 2 attempts per game shooting 44%. Less pull up 3's - 4 attempts per game at 19%.
A secondary ball handler needed.
