You used to provide some valuable reasonable input. Much less so at this point.

This has to be pure anger/emotion (crime of passion!). Because if you're comparing Koko to Hunter or saying Earl Watson was better than Koko, you're not making any sense.

Definitely pure anger. However the results are in and right now this isn't looking good.

Doesn't help when you've got chuckers like Canaan stealing shots from him.

Look, I'm not going to deny he's playing softer than tissue out there - but this offense and the lack of a true passing PG is not helping to keep him mentally checked in.

Every team's star player makes more than the coach. It's a player's league.

Exactly. Thus so much coaching turnover

Now I know people are getting nervous!

We will be ok guys. If you have been watching every year you know we are so much closer than 12 months ago. Lets take our lumps and do our crying, and come back strong tomorrow. These guys can learn from this. Great film in the 4th.
This was not a loss we cannot fix. Actually its nearly all fixable. Misses happen. What we needed to do was lock down defensively in the 4th.
Anderson is shooting 20% from 3 this season - there is literally no reason he should hqve playing time. And Bridges has proven to be a much better wingman to Booker than Canaan. It should've been obvious to not keep Canaan in there when Kyrie was eating him alive every Boston possession.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

That's not happening, obviously not for the last few seasons... and especially not for the last few minutes of the game... that's when you have to play as a team... and if one player is having a ball all the time others use to stay back... That's why we lost... All the great players that take the control at the end of the games are also players from good teams, like Jordan's Bulls.... so their misses are being corrected... We have to grow as a team, players have to trust each other, and if you are leading by few points, u make a two, not a quick three and miss... u find an open man, not try to be a hero... it's fun when u hit, but it's much safer to make that lead bigger and actually win the game...
p.s. Ayton should have had more shots

That's a good point, but only if Booker learns from it.

Don't agree that this falls entirely on Igor. Maybe some of the offensive sets, but the guys on the floor still need to run them.

And flat out, Ayton is god awful on d. In OT Kyrie would start driving, take a half beat, and Ayton would rotate back onto his man even though he was way the f out of the play at that point, leaving Kyrie an open lane. Canaan had the opposite issue though. Last play he over helped and left his man wide open after the switch.

The guys need to do the small things before we can start just blaming the coach wholesale.

At Canaan's size he has to be a volume shooter to stay in the league. im sure everyone from his agent to the Suns shooting coach has told him as much. To be fair, he really has no choice, from a personal career standpoint. He just physically cant bring much else to the NBA but good handles and a deadly shot.

DaleyBlind wrote:Imagine blaming Booker for this loss

Exactly! Booker did everything he could to set up our guys for wide open shots and they kept blowing them. In the 4th it came down to Booker scoring like 10 points in a row. In overtime once again Booker tried setting up teammates who kept blowing it, so i dont fault Booker at all for not trusting his teammates and putting the team on his back and trying to win it all by himself. We just dont have to players around him. We have what is probably the worst starting PG in the league (One that would be considered a 3rd stringer on half the teams in the league). Sure he stepped it up tonight, but that doesnt really mean much. You have Ayton who can be a beast, but cant get the damn ball, therefore all he is able to do is stick around in the paint calling for the ball and trying to grab an offensive rebound when his calls get ignored and instead someone bricks a bad shot. PF? Ariza hit a few thees tonight, gotta give him credit for that, but otherwise he was a non factor. Warren did Warren, bulldoze the paint and throw it up at the rim before hitting the floor. Very solid game from Warren tonight, those early 1st half 3's really helped, but i noticed he didnt shoot any 3's in the 2nd half, which was kinda weird.

Simple solution to fix this, get us a PG who can play-make, shoot the ball reliably, and most important GET AYTON THE DAMN BALL AND LET HIM DO WHAT HE DOMINATES AT! Besides that, grab a legit PF. Find me a defensive PF to play next to Ayton. I dont care about "Oh we need a stretch 4 to spread the floor and give Ayton room in the paint" because thats basically what we are doing now and its not working and Ayton cant even utilizes that space in the paint.

And i hate to say it, but i do put this loss on Igor. It was his decision to slow the game down with 6 minutes to go, have our players kill the clock for 20 seconds, then try to hit a jumper. That came from the coach, that was 100% his strategy to hold the lead, and it was a very bad call to start doing that so early. 3 minutes i could see. 2 minutes is very normal. But over 6 minutes left to start killing the clock is absolutely what did us in.

Frustrating loss, but encouraging to see us dominate the East's 3rd best team, one stocked with stars, and doing everything we could to shut them down in the 1st half. We showed more out there tonight than we really have seen all season from our team.

Actually, if it wasnt for boston missing 80% of their shots in the 1st quarter. I'm sure we would've lost either way.

It's just the ayton's soft D that's bothering me.

No need of drafting Ayton if we are going to use him like this. Should have just drafted Doncic or Young. He is just a glorified Deandre Jordan. Totally ridiculous. Did not use him at all. And the no entry passes got me too. Ayton posts up and gets bounced 10ft because if and when they do pass it in, he has to jump fifty feet in the air for the ball.

9 out of 10 times Earl Watson's Suns would destroy this team by double digits. That's just a fact.

I’m with those putting this L on coach. Leaving Canaan in for so long instead of Bridges, not fouling when up 3, letting the game slip away and not making a change in the offense or defense. Inexcusable. And I agree with Eddie Johnson who said that if Ayton isn’t getting the ball he needs to make himself useful in other ways. He simply wasn’t useful in his minutes down the stretch and was a huge sieve on D. Booker was not the problem, he deserves to be angry at the state of this team.

If I'm the Suns I do whatever it takes to get Rubio off the Jazz's hands. He's exactly what the Suns need. He'd find Ayton so easily. He finds Gobert and Gobert is 1/10th the player Ayton is offensively. Rubio to Suns would be a dream come true. (also find a way to steal JIngles plz!)
