Young players like playing under a big name coach and they are more willing to buy in the system and play hard under someone famous. We should have hired Jason Kidd, he might not be the guy you want when your team is ready to compete for a championship and he is a jerk but someone like him or mark jackson are better at kick starting the rebuild and development process by having the prestige of being a former star in the league that commands respect and humbleness from younger players that some low profile individual like igor just wouldn't have.

I still don’t understand why teams don’t foul when up by 3 with less than 6 seconds left. It just makes no sense to me.

You mean can't blame his non-existing D ?

IF you are #1 overall, you are supposed to be able to play some decent D. Not harden type of D.

Anderson is pure garbage and Canaan is a G-League point guard.

I will continue to blame them until they are both gone.
How can someone blame a goddamn rookie C but not two vets?

Yes, overreacting. Had you known before the game we'd take them to OT, you might feel differently.

Do we have a defensive coach? Serious question.

Saberestar its only fair you show a similar reaction to when Booker nailed a few clutch shots. Show that video then burn in. :banghead:

Now I know people are getting nervous!

We will be ok guys. If you have been watching every year you know we are so much closer than 12 months ago. Lets take our lumps and do our crying, and come back strong tomorrow. These guys can learn from this. Great film in the 4th.
This was not a loss we cannot fix. Actually its nearly all fixable. Misses happen. What we needed to do was lock down defensively in the 4th.
Anderson is shooting 20% from 3 this season - there is literally no reason he should hqve playing time. And Bridges has proven to be a much better wingman to Booker than Canaan. It should've been obvious to not keep Canaan in there when Kyrie was eating him alive every Boston possession.

Agree with it all except putting in Bender. That's just crazy talk man. Have you seen that guy? He is not the answer to anything, except, "who used to play in the NBA but now plays in Eastern Europe?"

Hey, I really love these 40 page game threads! This board is waking up after several long years of sleep. It's going to turn around guys. I doesn't feel like it, but we are only one really good PG away from rocking the NBA.

The fact that Booker was initiating the offense for the last half of the fourth qt and OT and playing brick laying Canan off of him to shoot 3's was insane. Dude had nothing but fear in his eyes when he was taking those shots. No Mikal. Our coach is an idiot.

This has always been my biggest concern with him.

He's always been like that. At AZ we had some BAD BAD losses to BAD teams where he just didn't care that people drove right by him. We will see if he starts caring. He likes to rebound and score inside, and shoot mid range jumpers though.

Fear of fouling on a flopping three point shooter and getting three free throws.

Neither are true winners I'd stick with Caanan & Booker as they blossom into a beautiful flower.

Yeah. It's the manner in which we lost and how 0 adjustments were made. It was so predictable how they would be able to chip away if we kept running the clock down taking dumb shots, meanwhile they had a layup line and open 3s on the other end. Frustrating doesn't even explain it

I am having fun win or lose. Any one who's been around for a while should try it. This year really is better

And flat out, Ayton is god awful on d. In OT Kyrie would start driving, take a half beat, and Ayton would rotate back onto his man even though he was way the f out of the play at that point, leaving Kyrie an open lane. Canaan had the opposite issue though. Last play he over helped and left his man wide open after the switch.

The guys need to do the small things before we can start just blaming the coach wholesale.

Yeah, not sure why so many people fail to see this.
