When you take all 65 minutes in, particulary the first 59 or so, that was our most fun game to watch this year easily outside of maybe our first one. But after all the tough losses, and playing a contender, this was great...the loss sucked, but no one ever said "I need to turn this **** off". That's progress.

Booker has to knock both those free throws down.

I thought I just didnt get it. Wouldve been funny though. I was actually releived you locked it because I need to step away. The tough loss has me acting a bit obsessive.

When bwgood first mentioned this I sort of focused on it too. But after more retrospection, I really think the issue was our defense down the stretch. They just started running and we just let them.

Frank, do me a favor and watch your favorite "tough guy, n'er do bad" current NBA big for 4 whole games, without watching any Suns game. Then watch a Suns game. I think you'd be surprised at how good Ayton actually is. If you want to really see how great he actually is, go rummage up some tape from your favorite "tough guy, n'er do bad" current NBA big's rookie seasons.
You miss the point dude... but swallowed the hook... I'll play.
He doesnt have a killer instinct needed to be great. Keep in mind, I am not arguing his talents, he has loads on O.... its his lack of anger in approaching a game in which he could/should physically dominate 70+% of his foes. He's just not about that. I mean... is there a ferocious Dunk in his high can yet? May be its a Jamaican thing.... you never really saw Duncan get pissed except when a foul wasn't called.
Did Kareem have a ferocious Dunk in his entire career? Did Duncan? Was Hakeem known for his ferocious dunks?
Like, I don't know why every wants him to play like Shaq. He's not Shaq. He's never been Shaq. Just because Ayton said him and Book might be Shaq and Kobe 2.0 doesn't mean he needs to play like Shaq. The remarkable things about Ayton have always been how quick and graceful he is, and his - yes that dreaded word - soft touch around the basket both shooting and rebounding the ball to himself.
And yeah, stats don't tell the whole story, but you're not giving any proper context either. Ayton has never played with a great guard who can get him the ball when he has established himself in great position.
Defensively he doesn't rotate well consistently. In that first half tonight, he was doing pretty damn well, but no one is talking about that. Did everyone forget that Shaq didn't play defense when he didn't get the ball either?
So yeah, get the **** of the rookie's back and bring your "biting wit" to bear on some of these "savvy vets" who are far more deserving of the ridicule.

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Huge mistake by Booker and Canaan there to not foul. They have no timeouts, we have no timeouts. Logical play is to foul when we are up 3 in this scenario. Especially with his back to the basket at the top of three. We basically gave them the game.

Yeah, they were supposed to, but a good learning experience I guess?

Sure, defense is always a huge problem but if he knocks his free throws down, we win. I mean heck, TJ was 8-8 from the line. Those 42,000 shots this summer helped...he's shooting over 84% from the line and over 46% from 3.

Typical Suns blowing leads. Been this way for 25 years at least.

Re: Game 11: Celtics (6-4) @ Suns (2-8), 7:00pm
Joke of a quarter and Overtime... lol
And people blaming the rookie Center who had Jaylen Brown or Marcus Morris on him inside the paint asking for the ball but we saw hero ball today... 3pt shooting when there were ways to score inside.
And just a note, I've been watching a few Celtics games and their "stars" from last season Tatum, Rozier and Brown has had a mediocre start to this season as well, yet their fans dont throw those players under the bus... I see plenty of suns fans or so, just go crucify Ayton, Jackson etc. The losing has made a lot of people blind.
Anyways this game was a farce, it was hero ball during the crunch time, it was 1 vs 5
