Patrick McCaw Remains In Discussions With Several Teams

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Nov 8, 2018 2:42 pm

The restricted free agency of Patrick McCaw has continued into November.

McCaw remains in discussions with several teams, including the Golden State Warriors.

McCaw was a second round pick in 2016 out of UNLV.

In March of last season, McCaw suffered a serious back injury.

Like his game, hope he gets a chance with a team not named GSW though so he can get some decent burn.

But he got decent burn with the Warriors, 15 and 17 mpg his first two seasons. That's what's so mysterious, he has a a huge opportunity with the Warriors, particularly if KD leaves next season.
The hottest of takes...

He started at SF in the playoffs when KD was hurt. That was a pretty big role for a 2nd round pick just joining the league.

McCaw has all the tools to be a star but has been very inconsistent. It looks like his people are telling him the wrong thing, cant blame him though. With McKinnie's emergence McCaw is not missed a bit by the Ws. Hope he finds the right team, maybe a sign and trade to net Ws some small asset.

Total idiot.

His only hope: the Cavs

Thanks for the honesty.

A star?

No his ceiling is much lower than that.

Still can't believe they didn't offer him the room exception as soon as Zhaire Smith got hurt, and I'm not really sure what better use they'd have for it. Guys aren't really hunting for cash during buyout season.

Sixers front office isn't the brightest. They have one star player in the last 4 drafts blowing 9 lottery picks.. Simmons isnt a star...he is good though but not All Star level.
