We often have a hard time against very well-coached teams, and the Mavericks are, for me, at the top of them (in the regular season at least, together with Utah, Boston and maybe the Spurs).
That will give us a reality-check to see what opponents see as our weaknesses (given that they have the personnel to exploit these weaknesses).
I still think and hope that we solidify todays win and get a little cushion with another win for the eventual loss(es) we'll face without Russ.
What I gattered is that Doncic and Smith (and the rest of their guards) have some problems on defense, maybe Schröder can exploit that. They also seem to suffer from (iso-)chucking from their wings, let's hope that they don't get too hot (or at least less hot than OKC).
Totally agree. Because Rick Carlisle is so good we struggled a bit against the mavs last two seasons while they had a very very bad roster.
Add the fact that they added some talent (DJ and good young players) and you have a very tough game. Mavs are underrated IMO
