Not a good idea. Jamaal has homecourt when it comes to archiving

True but, unfortunately for him, I hold the ultimate trump card in that I don't care about contradicting myself so it'll never matter how many of my wrong-posts he can dig up. :)

think about it though... Hawks add #1 and #2 in this draft by moving DAL pick, CLEV pick, OKC pick maybe Prince and a part or two. Not selling the farm to move up, BUT, Trae / Collins and two of RJ/CAM/ZION/Little. Add to that the buzz of 1 and 2.

The assets are there.

Get as many top picks as possible during the tank window. This year should be top pick competitive, next top 7 or so and then we will fade into winning too much to get top talent from the draft. A 2/3 year rebuild is a rare opportunity to get TOP pick durings the period.

GO ALL IN

I"d be picking up every spare pick and good contract during this period, looking to trade UP at every opportunity.

Happy with the Trae trade (unless Don is a supastar) good value. Not too happy about TS not moving up after that though and trading 34 for future seconds that look to be 45 range.... :o Robinson.... :o

Zion is scary good. Trae would average 11+ assists with Zion and Collins.

Cam was actually the best and most impressive player in that game.

K!lla Cam Reddish is what this team needs. 3-pt marksman, potential lead scorer, secondary ball handler. And you won't realistically need to win the draft lottery to grab him.

I doubt Zion is still available when you guys draft (imo he's going #1 overall) but Cam Reddish is the dude I would target.

The spacing him, Trae, Huerter and Prince would create would be crazy and if Reid (or maybe Bol) is still there with your own pick, wow is all I can say because there would be shooting and passing at every position. I'm just happy to see things are working out when this board made it out like the Hawks got played trading Luka and it might turn out to be the opposite (not that Luka isn't very good).

Guys in play for the Dallas pick if it conveys:

Reid at 6-10 and 250 but seems to play much bigger. I liken him to a baby Embiid. Really won't judge until conf. play but these highlights are eye opener for a guy that size.

Garland has an NBA game simply put. Size and game comparable to McCollum and Lillard. He should be the first pg taken so may not last, I like him alot.

Reid is indeed on my radar, as well. Nice face up game, solid jump shot and bruising size to bang inside.

The talent is undeniable. I see him working his way into top 5 status if his trajectory continues as expected. He's one of those 6-10 guys that can play the 5 in the league effectively. GMs have to be gushing over this guy.

You know with me is ft shooting for bigs. The kicker is he's shooting 100% at the line so far. I'm all ready to draft this dude

Prospects to watch:

Rui Hachimura, Gonzaga (PF):
A true starter for the first time in his collegiate career, Rui Hachimura has looked great through two games. The junior power forward is active on both sides of the court and has become one of the faces of Gonzaga’s team. His game isn’t refined yet, making his money using his jumping ability and raw athleticism, but that is what makes him such an exciting prospect. In his two years of college basketball, Hachimura hasn’t shown much of an outside shot, which could hurt him in the jump shot-friendly NBA, but he is still young enough for that to come along. Only two games into this season, Hachimura is averaging 25 points per game and 5 rebounds per game, but this prospect should be looked at more for his upside than just the stats.

Daniel Gafford, Arkansas (C): Daniel Gafford hates rims, simple as that. The Razorback big man has a chance to be one of the highest risers after impressing many at the end of last season and deciding to come back for this sophomore year. Arkansas opened the season with an overtime loss to Texas, but Gafford did everything to keep his team in it. Ending that game with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks, he then followed that effort up with a 12-point, 4-block performance in a win over UC Davis. Gafford has the ability to use his athletic frame to be a difference maker above the rim on both sides of the court.

Porter and Reid are good fits. Guys like Porter end up being better in the NBA than in college.

It's early, but I've zeroed in on Romeo Langford or Cam Reddish as the scoring wing this team desperately needs.

Cam in particular has all-NBA talent. But perhaps not the mind set of a great one.
