Any chance we can trade the summer of 2016 Brothers to the Greensboro swarm

I thought he returned to the bench ready to play. I guess JB erred on the side of caution.

The way that game was officiated, he would have fouled out in 5 minutes

Refs were giving Embiid a lot of touch fouls. I didn’t even realize that Biz picked up 4 fouls in as many minutes although I think only 2 were from actually defending Embiid.

Seriously, he was not defended yesterday on the perimeter, and i really thought that's what Borrego had in mind in the clutch during last minute. Pick n pop or whatever move could have worked.
Not saying the 3 he made just in the end , he could have made it a little earlier when the game was still undecided, but come on, dealing with Kemba's double teams by just throwing the ball to a uninspired (lol..) Monk and see what happens this is not what i am calling a good coaching.

Still need a good 3D guard to complement MKG. The good thing being that Bacon (after that article before the start of the season) reminded everyone he could play in the league.

Frank is behind Graham and Bacon in the rotation. He hasnt played a meaningful minute the entire season.

If there's anything to take away from this game, it's this.

Dwayne Bacon's trade value just went up.

Maybe this is just me, but I would characterize the season so far as a major disappointment.

I think we are pretty on line with expectations right now. Not being able to beat any good teams sucks, but have to give the new coach a month or two to get everybody on same line of thinking. I still expect a top 4 seed by end of the year based on S.O.S

We are the definition of mediocre, which isn't exactly surprising. The good thing is that almost all of our younger guys are playing better than last season (sorry Frank) and Bridges is going to be a player. That at least gives me hope and hope is a helluva thing.

Seasonal Affective Disorder occurs during low daylight months, reducing synthesis of vitamin D from UVB radiation. Vitamin D is a catalyst in the synthesis of a neurotransmitter that regulates mood called serotonin. When serotonin levels fall, we become more susceptible to depression in the winter. I hope some of you can find more reasons to feel happy about what we're seeing. Or else consider testing your vitamin D status at your local urgent care facility.

All except leaving Monk in. He was terrible. Would have preferred Lamb or Parker.

it would have been lamb but he was hurt

Ahhhhhhh, gotcha - thanks. I was watching the Pilly feed and they didn’t mention that.

I still would have closed with Parker over Monk.

I've seen us constantly lose close games and not be able to stay over .500 before. Doing it with new faces isn't that fun to me.

Still early and the new additions look good so I'm just hoping for more growth from the young guys and that familiarity with the system will help as the season goes along. Our late game sets are straight garbage though, that is undeniable.

I like the idea of Monk and Kemba as the closers, since they are the only two guys on our squad who can be trusted to create a shot, but as we saw last night that is completely new territory for Monk and he looked uncertain. I think he'll grow into it, Cliff basically mind **** him and he certainly never got many meaningful crunch time possessions to adjust to this level. Last night he passed a couple times when he should have shot (got all the way to the rim once only to wrap-around pass to the corner 3) and he shot a couple deep ones before really probing the defense. JB has to invest time with him to help him sort through which situations is which.

I had us pegged as a 43-39 team, so we seem right on track.

I can't remember but it seems like Biz got like 3 fouls just for standing next to Embiid. I think the NBA has a secret rule where you can only have 1 African center on the floor at any time.

I would use the word "frustrated" rather than "disappointed", but yeah, blowing close game after close game is getting really old.

We are actually performing really well over all when you consider we have a new coach with a completely new offensive and defensive system/strategy and two of our three most talented players aren't old enough to legally drink, but we just seem to never be able to close out games against good teams.

I'm trying to take comfort in the sense that I get that we have a lot of ability to improve over the course of the season and our record is actually fine (its how we are losing some of the games that makes it irritating and not really our overall record). The fact that we've played well enough to win every game except against Toronto makes it frustrating that we're only .500, but at the same time its also a sign that we are doing a lot of things well.

The damage Cho and Clifford did is going to take some time to fix. Our guys have the will to play contemporary NBA but the roster is still largely reflecting Clifford's van Gundy ball of the early 2000s.

NBA came out today and said it missed 3 calls in the final 2 minutes, all 3 of which would have swung the game in our favor

Kemba fouled by Embiid

Embiid traveled on his 3 pointer

Simmons defensive 3 seconds on final play of regulation

Embiid seems to shuffle his feet a LOT.
