After Embiid their big man depth is **** and they don’t have a decent 4 on the roster.

If they don't start Redick now, they are as dumb as a box of rocks.

Not a bad lineup. That bench is horrid though.

Good move by Philly. The only chance they had at landing a big fish in free agency was getting a guy before July 1st and getting the option of giving bigger raises and that 5th year. They weren't going to be a better destination than NYC or LA.

And as truth mentioned - Covington sucks. Butler is an upgrade.

Yep. This just made their shooting problem much worse because they just traded two of their only three good shooters. Of course, Butler is the far superior talent to those two, but this is a very weird fit. Not crazy about Simmons and Butler playing together at all.

They will find shooting at the trade deadline like last season (Korver probably) ...

That's pretty easy and cheap to find.

But they now have there superstar (Embiid), their second star (Butler) and third star (Simmons). It's rounding out.
And they probably aren't the best shooting team, but their D will be incredibly good.

They aren't the only team that is going to be going after shooters. You can't just assume they will find a bunch of knockdown shooters between now and February. Don't get me wrong: Butler definitely makes them better, but that team is going to have issues.

4,5 and he's almost at 38%

He's not the greatest shooter but he's not bad at all. And like all of the league, he's shooting more and more

Through 10 games...

He is a lifetime 34 percent three-point shooter and shot 35 percent from there last year. He is average, at best.

But he's not an average player.

It's probably the only average part of his game.

Nice job moving the goal posts after being proven wrong. We are talking about his shooting ability.

Nice job trying to convince yourself Sixers aren't becoming a threat

Show me 1 post where I said he was a good shooter. Only said he wasn't a bad shooter as a response to someone who said he was.
Which is not true. Now move on to reality, Sixers clearly got better.

But if it helps you to sleep better to find reasons to ignore that, go ahead

I didn't say he was a bad shooter either though?

Yeah, like 1 1/2 threes made per game over that period lol. He's not a shooter.

Still a decent upgrade over Covington and Saric.

Than Tatum isn't either

Every team besides maybe Tor and GS have glaring issues. Even your Celtics.

Yes he's an upgrade over Covington and Sarcic, but he also hurts their three point shooting as a team. They already lacked shooting, and they just got worse.

Who can knock down threes on a consistent basis other than Reddick on this team?

Yes he's an upgrade over Covington and Sarcic, and yes he does hurt their shooting as a team.

Shamet. Also, do you really not think Philly will look to add shooters?

That's fair. It's the posters acting like Philly did wrong or got worse that I don't understand. They clearly got better.

The Sixers got Butler and the Raptors got Leonard. And the Celtics, well, we still have a bunch of young guys that won't amount to much.

Trader Danny has become a binkie lover. I'm shocked Danny didn't try to make an addition to compete this year. The current team isn't getting out of the second round...less talent than Toronto, Philly and Milwaukee. We are NOT and will NOT be contenders this year.

It's denial. Those posters see our squad struggling as others pass us by through improvement (Milwaukee) and additions (Toronto and Philly)...and it hurts them tremendously. The only way to cope is through denial.
