What the hell are you talking about?

We've been waiting for him to come over since Hinkie drafted him over Doug McDermott.

Two complimentary players just don’t excite me. I wanted a potential break out star to pair up with Kat or at least a decent draft pick thrown in with those complimentary role players.

I just want to make sure I understand you correctly. You would trade Zach LaVine, Lauri Markkanen, and Kris Dunn for Robert Covington, Dario Saric, and a 2nd round pick?

Oh... you want to use hindsight. Gotcha!

Do I believe Teague/Rose, Wiggins, Covington, Saric/Gibson, Towns is better then Teague/Dunn, LaVine, Wiggins, Gibson, Towns, yes I do. People complete forget there's only 1 basketball on the court and defense comes into play also.

LaVine is a scorer on a bad team... I'd be ok with him as a scoring 6th man, not so much as a starter.

You also need to calculate in not being on year 15 of no playoffs.

The ceiling of this team has just dropped with this Butler trade, a good .500 or a little above .500 team is in the future for this franchise now.

No, I want to use reality and facts.

Could you answer my question with a yes or no, please?

No Reason to buy out a VERY GOOD player like Taj.

no reason not to buy out an old, not part of the future, expiring contract, not very good player like Taj.

Very good player.

Was kind've hoping we would get a first round pick even if it was lottery protected but even without it I don't mind this trade

I am just glad this will stop you delusional Philadelphia fans from telling everyone that he is going to come to play in the NBA for you guys. Big power-play by Dario to force Philadelphia's hand like this, it is crazy how everyone is just forcing their way to Minnesota nowadays. Really makes us feel like big-game players.

Best post of the month. :D

Second, MIN traded for two years of Butler. MIN is trading ONE year of Butler.

I'm a Bulls fan man, for me it's apples to apples.

So what would you trade me for Eddy Curry today? Do you think trade value changes over time?

That would be apples to apples. This isn’t about fan loyalty.

What? Eddy Curry has been out of the league for 5 years.

The Bulls' Butler deal with Minnesota occurred a year ago

With where this team is you know you screwed up when a 27 y/o (good) role player is a key piece. Needed at least a first. And I still wouldn't love it. Out of all the "rumored" deals this was my least favorite (and that assumed a first).

The right thing to do is clean house. Trade Taj, Tolliver, Tyus, Rose, Teauge ect... With this deal one that's aims seem to be to stick us in mediocrity I doubt we will do that right either. Winning a couple of games is more important than our future. Why can't we just do the right thing for once?

Saric is a nice role player next to KAT. But some of you do not realize how Covington offense was a product of Ben Simmons. He was a low percentage player offensive who just stood at the 3 point line before Simmons. The Wolves a ball handling distributor. Is Wiggins gonna be that?

Gtfo Jimmy Butler, so happy this is over finally. I'm happy with this trade. Jimmy will be hurt soon anyway and is not worth a max that will pay him till he's 34 or 35.
