Ucf has ponied up many times:

Ohio state, Michigan, Florida, Penn state x1, the Penn State 1x1 but the Ucf home game in Ireland, Wisconsin.

These games just since the GOL era.

To Knightro's point, Ucf shouldn't have of cough up criticically important revenue to "pony up", when clearly there is no point with the system in place.

Had Houston run the table a couple of years ago, maybe, possibly, they would have been on the edge to be included in the invitational.

But even that is doubtful given the inner workings and collusion that takes place within the committee.

Just ask TCU and Baylor a few years ago about collusion when they were both jumped and left out of the invitational because a "blue blood" was chosen instead after winning their CCG.

A true playoff would be five conference champions and three at large teams chosen to fill the eight spots. Playoff participants in most sports use criteria .... and not depend solely on debate and opinion.

Too simple.

One of those kickoff classic type games in Atlanta, Dallas or Orlando where both teams get paid a huge amount of money to show up? Obviously yes UCF would play one of those against anyone in the country.

But they haven’t been invited to play in one of those yet and I don’t see them or any G5 being asked any time soon.

A neutral site game v. a P5 in place of a home game is very unlikely to me.

Those neutral site hosts want P5 teams for kickoff games.

The citrus bowl is interested in a non-kickoff week game to fill the venue that would otherwise go unused.

Some interesting games this week:

OSU on the road against a very good MSU. A Buckeye's loss really opens the door.
Washington State on the road against Colorado: this could slam shut any Pac-12 playoff team.
Auburn at Georgia. A bulldogs loss could seal shut two SEC teams.

And in a sad development, we Knights fans should be routing for a Seminoles win over Notre Dame.

I expect at least one of these games to go in the Knights favor. Two would be a bonus.

ya given up 24 points to an 2 and 8 Navy team thats concerning. That's not good going into next week and facing Cincinnati. Cincinnati is a good team, so is Houston and USF, Memphis at times.

Not pretty but I feel like we purposefully didn’t run up the score at times.

So it’s looking like we get gameday this week based on a report just posted.

We better have at least 10k fans show up Saturday morning.

Game day is coming.

8 pm, Saturday night, ABC.

Despite all of the comments from the negative posters, the haters, the P5 snobs, the media collusionists, this program has defined itself as relevant.

There is still work to do this season to finish the job.

Sure, the relevancy won't be maintained forever.... because that time is now, this era is now, and these achievements are now.

As a 20 year season ticket holder ... I am just going to enjoy the moment and embrace the memories that will be there for the rest of my lifetime.

Go Knights!

Oh please God don’t let us lay an egg in this game.

Somebody make sure Randy Shannon has watched all of the game film before kickoff this week.

Honestly, I've been to 50+ games but have never tailgated, where is the best place to tailgate? We're planning on going this weekend

Memory Mall is the best spot to tailgate. TONS of energy, miles and miles of good looking ladies, a lot of debauchery. You do have to reserve a spot and they fill up IMMEDIATELY though.

I probably wouldn't recommend trying setting up in Memory Mall if you're a first timer to be perfectly honest, but definitely walk through and experience it. It's something else.

You can pretty much grab a spot near one of the parking garages adjacent to Memory Mall and go from there.

Gameday coming to campus puts an end to Dr. White hurting the UCF brand. We have the #1 television spot on abc Saturday as well. This and the peach bowl are peaks for our program and gaining national recognition.

Also, heard on the radio this morning the students are making a TIFO for the game. Excited to see it!

I was concerned about it going in because you have to tackle well against the option and the defense forgets how to tackle often. Fortunately they turned the ball over early and we got ahead because my fears were confirmed.

And they do tackling drills. Fortunately Cincy runs a more traditional offense.

I was thinking about getting a ticket for Cincinati at USF game but I would have to put in paid time off/ vacation time for Saturday and I checked the websites(vividseats, stubhub, scorebig, ticketmaster) and their prices are crazy. Any good seat in the lower section is a guaranteed 100+. If I would have bought this game couple weeks ago or further back, the prices would be cheaper. I thought before the season started our best home games were going to be SMU and Pittsburgh cause thats the games I bought. I overlooked Cincinnati before the season started. I want to see college game day on UCF campus, I would have to sacrifice sleep for that.
