Hmmmm..... didn't know that Bayless was included in the trade. that means they have another solid backup. Rose no longer has to start either.... therefore...... Tyus Jones might be more expendable too. Not a star level player.... but would fill in nicely if given the chance. would like to see what he turns into if given the keys.

Augustin is a great bench PG. And is actually cheaper than Fultz. Straight-up will not get it done. But I would not be unhappy with Orlando trading Augustin and their own first next year for Fultz. The pick could be top-4, but is more likely to be around 7-10 (with Augustin playing out the year). Augustin and a 7-10 range first for Fultz is a wonderful trade.
How is this a bad gamble for Orlando?
..
Given Fultz's problems, I don't think Orlando should be giving up any first round picks, unless you're talking the OKC deal. The guys is a huge risk that you end up giving up too much and he continues on his current trajectory.
That's not to say I wouldn't want to deal for him - I would and I do, because I'm not necessarily convinced he's a blow out, but I can't see giving up first round picks when we're so probably lottery bound again.

I'm so out of Fultz wagon. Guy is terrible. it's not just shooting ,he really doesn't do anything well.

There's a very good chance they can't keep him long term. Philly's taking a chance that they can actually step up and contend with him, enough to convince him to stay. I think there's at least as much if not a better chance he signs out west somewhere when given a chance.

Reports are that Butler will resign with 76ers.

That's why i'm against putting to much hope in FAs to get star. Half of players never hit free agency in first place . They re-sign in first hour of FA.

With Butler on East it's another allstar spot locked.

Doubt we will draft potential stars anytime soon.
Lets continue to hope Vucevic and Fournier can get us into the 8th spot for the playoffs. Thats a "championship" for this miserable franchise.

lol
I don't know what's the goal tbh.
So let's say Magic somehow make playoffs this year, lose in first round and than what?
If you let Vučević go what was point of that season?
If they resign him why da hell draft Bamba in first place ?
It's just such a case of being trapped between rock and hard place

Agree. But he sounds a lot like our current players!
I dont understand how the guy could go from dominating in college to just being so bad in the NBA. I knew the competition is different but the fall in every aspect of his game is just unreal. Ive never seen anything like it.

He tried to change his shot before he was even picked and then got injured. Now he's a total mess trying to find a shot that works for him again and probably battling some serious confidence issues as a result.

He is healthy now so we know health isnt the issue anymore. Also why did he need to change? It looked fine in Washington. Its menta at this point. Look at the video of him shooting a free throw and coming nowhere near close. He is shaking and look on his face is like he isnt even mentally in the game. Its a mental case to the highest degree. Kid just is not ready for the spotlight.
