Wow. Great deal! So happy with it. RoCo is just a perfect fit next to Okogie and Wiggins and Saric can be extremely helpful. Hail Thibs!

I'm looking forward to the moment Jimmy realizes, Embiid is still their first option.

I'm glad you guys got a decent package in return for Butler after how far his trade value has plummeted with his antics. Better than the Rockets and Heat offers IMO. Also glad Butler is back East.

They saved Embiid.

Really? Wow.
I'd take Markkanen over all of them easily, not even really close for me. He could be a Franchise changer.
We disagree. That's ok. Markkanen is a taller Saric IMO. Saric has better ball handling and passing skills. RoCo is better than LaVine and Dunn is a waste of space.
Saric does not have better ball handling or passing then Lauri. I seen Lauri go end to end. He can finish in traffic. He better, younger, and.more athletic.
Zach is better then Covington. A guy who can score 28 efficiently is worth more.
Dunn is better then a second.
You guys did well but stop making stuff up.
If Rose remain true maybe we sign him off you guys since you are capped out. I will always be a Rose fan and because of that I'll root for you.
That Wiggins deal is your make or break position.

I guess man, I mean don't follow him that closely, but I remember before the extension he was shooting like 45% from 3 on high volume, which was of course an aberration. 36% is a lot less impressive and consistent with his career numbers. Whenever I check his box score it doesn't look good. He shoots like 40% from the field, which doesn't constitute a good shooter. But yeah, I guess 11.5 for an elite defender is the going rate these days
RoCo is 2nd in the NBA in combined steals and blocks last I checked. Behind only Rudy Gobert. That is some serious talent. I think that 11.5 million is below the going rate.
He will have Embid and Simmons to help. He will be force to take on more of the responsibility.

I don't believe this thinking myself. Not as someone who likes to enjoy competitive hard working players. Only one team wins every year. You can have a good franchise competing near the top all the time and never quite getting there. I would be alright with that.
Tanking to build some kind of mega team is not just wrong, but you need to do it more than one year in a row. Like PHilly did. That means forsaking your fans for years, and hoping you make the right choices in the draft. Now, don't get me wrong. If you're team is a mess right now and you and everyone knows there is a Lebron-type player coming out in the next draft, well. Race to the bottom. Last one there is a sorry sap. But I would never really forgive the team I follow for doing it multiple years in a row on purpose. I would stop following them. That's just me. Don't let us figure out you are doing it on purpose each year.
That franchise mode in video games have killed things. People are willing to watch crap with a promise of a brighter future.
I am a grinder at heart and do believe in waiting to get lucky. People love to reinvent the.Golden State phenom. No one had them being anything special the year they won. People laughed at them. People were in love with the Clips.
The thing is no one knows what the next big thing is until it happens. Golden State when they started their run. Highest pick was Harrison Barnes.
The future is not promised and I hate the process. Which is why I hope you killed them.
Hopefully Rose stays healthy, Wiggins rises, and KAT returns.

Not a bad trade for us considering JB situation, but with Kat and Saric under the basket teams can now choose to go around or over Saric or pump fake Kat out of the court. I can see myself do alot of swearing and turn the games off this season.

I wonder if Embiid goes from using 27 possessions per game to a much more KAT-with-Jimmy-ish 18.

Embiid will skip games anyway. So butler will have enough of possessions when Joel will sit out.

Saric does nothing for me. Wish there was something he actually does really well, but I fail to see how he moves the needle in any sense.

ugh Magic, fan but above all guy from Europe who watched ***t loud of basketball..
Lauri is better pure shooter than Šarić, but literally nothing else.
Šarić is underrated passer ,Šarić is more than solid rebounder, his defense isn't amazing but let's not act like Lauri is DPOY candidate. Lauri is younger ,3 years, but Šarić never had any injury , where Lauri is already out for months after rookie year, where he was already hurt in it.
Granted, Lauri maybe has more potential but that's as usual big question mark with most of rookie type players.
Dario had UGLY start of the season but last 3,4 games bounced back to his usual self. That's a guy who with JJ was only reliable option on offense last year vs Celtics where both Embiid and Simmons choked under Stevens defense ( allowed Simmons to run with ball ,filled paint ,made Embiid usless on defense with Horford streaching ).
Covington is one of best individual defenders in whole league, you guys just made mistake when you kept Wiggins instad of Lavine, but it's not like Lavine is next MJ. Guy can score but most teams would not give him 20 shots a game to carry them to 20 wins with zero defense played. Basically he is eastern conference Booker right now.

Well he's made 8 3's the last 2 games, so he does something ok.

Thanks. I'm still not totally convinced. If it was Thibs I'm more convinced of his great GM skills. This was my dream deal the day Jimmy's trade request was made public.
