Wow for once we catch a break! Hope to see him back soon, no rush though. I wonder what the timetable will be? It'll probably be a few more days before we hear it to see how his body initially responds to the damage.

From what I've read, he could be back within 2 months? anyone with more knowledge on subtalar dislocations want to confirm?

Read on Twitter

Didn't realize Darby had the same injury, but 8 NFL games would be right at two months missed - maybe a bit more with a bye week.

So lets say he should be back by All Star break?

aw man. this really brightened my day. I'm sure he and his family are relieved as well as the team.

In the meantime, time to call up Musa and let him take some lumps from the pros. he's not going to get better playing against G League scrubs

He's starting rehab this week. We're talking possible February return.

This is amazing! Absolute miracle. Best case scenario after what happened.

I woke up this morning feeling so bummed out about Caris and thinking how cursed the Nets are and now I feel sooo much better about everything.

Here's to him coming back stronger than ever!

Happy to hear. Caris is my favorite Brooklyn Net. Super talented, great kid, he’ll be back and better.

This is amazing news after the visuals last night. But please, let's not rush him. Ah he'll, this is the Nets were talking about. He won't see time until April (good to be able to joke again)

Amazing news for Caris and you guys! The team should be in high spirits right now. This is also an opportunity for Kurucs/Musa to shine - just the nature of a long NBA season. Hopefully they make the most of these extra minutes.

My guess is right after, but I could see him in for some rehab minutes before.

It sounds like 4-6 weeks in a short cast and then rehab. Given our conservative medical staff, i'd bank on February, at which point it may make sense to wait for the allstar break.

What's not clear is whether there is increased risks for future dislocations. I did read there is a relatively low chance of post-traumatic arthritis.

Sweet corn!

Man, such a break for him and the spirit of the team I'm sure. Knowing he will return will ease the mind of everyone and they can get back to normal. Great news.

I'm pretty sure that while he'll be fine overall, there could be some lingering physical after effects.

And then there is also the mental hurdle. That was a very traumatic experience that he just went through. It may take him some time to get over any anxiety or fears that he may have so I wouldn't expect to see him come out the gates driving with reckless abandon like we're used to.

medical report: dislocation 2 months

Nets performance team: dislocation, out next 2 years, contemplate retirement

all jokes aside this is unreal news...

after last nights mood for the team this has to be a big jolt for them... and for Caris im sure his mindset was a year and having to work back to alright a few months and im feasting again. could be a nice rally point.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
