After 15 games, Do you think we will make the playoffs? (Poll)

We are 7-8, and were 8-7 at this point last year. So far we have stayed healthy, played hard, and are currently sitting in the 8th seed. We will be competing with teams like Miami, Brooklyn (without Levert), Washington, and Charlotte for the 7th and 8th spots. Do you think we have a real shot to make it? Or is this team fools gold like last year?

People keep bringing up our hot start last year but remember we also started hot under Skiles too.

Without a trade to bring in additions, I do not think the Magic will make the playoffs.

I think the East has three pretty defined tiers.

Certain playoff teams (5): Raptors, Bucks, Celtics, 76ers and Pacers
Certain non-playoff teams (5): Cavs, Hawks, Bulls, Knicks, Nets assuming LaVert ends up missing 40+ games
The middle (5): Pistons, Hornets, Magic, Wizards, Heat

The Magic are *probably* the worst or the fourth worst of the five teams in the middle without any trade additions. That puts them in that 9-10 range.

Now if the Magic can figure out a way to upgrade Grant and Simmons without giving up anyone playing well right now (Vucevic, Ross, Gordon), then I could be convinced otherwise.

I was going to write something but this post says it all. I think we have a real shot but if I had to make a prediction it would be 9th or 10th spot, which would kinda suck.

Yeah this still feels like a 11th finish or below for me. Barring any moves for a point guard that I don’t see coming.

Biggest change from previous years in the assist percentages. We are 3rd in assist %, assist ratio, and assist to turnover ratio. I'm sure we've been along the bottom in these categories for years. Shows they are sticking to the system and playing with better chemistry.

If we can swap Simmons, Grant, and potentially Fournier for some actual wing talent then yes I think we have potential to be an 8th seed.

Team is playing well, but I expect there will be some injuries that will derail the team and set off a chain reaction of losses and poor play. This team isn't really built to survive injuries to key players for extended periods.... certainly can't afford to have players giving less effort like they tend to do once the season appears to be lost. Will be interesting to see how players respond to cliff if the record starts to slip...

I think the Magic should go for broke and package Simmons, Grant and Isaac for an impact player instead of just another role player.

I think Brooklyn could go on a free fall without LaVert. He was their best player by quite a bit in my opinion. If he misses the next 35-40 games they may really struggle in his absence.

As we stand, probably not. But I think we have a more capable roster than many think, and we are a decent trade away from being a playoff team.

Note that in essentially all seasons the Magic started "not horrible." But in most seasons, the wheels started coming off at ~ game 15. To answer this question, I thus feel like I need to see another 10 games.

If we remain healthy, continue this play of ball movement and effort then its possible we pull 7-8th seed. I think the 6-8th seed are wide open. I feel more confident we have a shot to make the PO this year then all previous rebuild years.
