I believe that we have one of the best rosters in the league. I believe we can go very far in playoffs.
Houston maybe is the best team in nba right now and the worst matcup but I really believe we can beat them and if yes we can go until the end of the road.

The Minnesota Timberwolves won their first playoff game in almost fourteen years; I was four when that last happened.

So our basketball season has just started. That is the biggest positivity for me. No more distractions, just basketball.
More things I want to see:

1) More Rose as PnR partner with KAT. As one fan here wrote: "Run KAT-Rose PnR to death"
2) More spacing with RoCo and Dario. Shoot that corner and open 3s!
3) Dario <-> KAT connection. Their passing game might be a huge advantage
4) KAT at elbows, high post and low post. I hope we trade/buyout Gibson and give Saric all minutes.
5) Run some plays for Wiggins if he has size advantage low post. No more long 2s. 3s, some low post ISOs and fast break points.

I like your saying our season has just started. We are 2-0 this season. I like all five of your points except for the part of buy out Gibson. He is far too good to bought out. Trade sure.

I mean if he wants to play for contender and no trade is available, then we can do him a favor and buy him out.

No we don't need to do him a favor. His basketball talent is the property of the Wolves. We trade him if we get equal or better talent back. We don't pay him a buy out to go play for somebody else.

Taj is only going to want a buyout if he's not playing and he will always play. He will either continue to start at PF or become a back-up behind Saric and Towns. Gibson will always get minutes. As we learned over the past two months, Thibs/Layden hate making trades. I don't see any more trades this season. Gibson will walk at the end of the year.

We have KAT, Wiggins, RoCo, Okogie signed up until atleast end of 2021-22 season. If KAT continues to improve his defense, if Wiggins finally has the breakout season that we have been expecting and if Josh improves his offense (atleast to average), then I'd say we have a pretty decent core for next 3-4 seasons. I know there are plenty of ifs...Wiggins 'if' is probably the only toughest one...I can see the other 2 happening(Josh and KAT). So, I feel like how our future pans out in next 4 years depends majorly on Wiggins progress.
We also need to look for a PG in this draft. If there is one big problem in next few seasons for us, then lack of ball handlers in our team if Rose and Teague leave.

I really appreciate the way Gibson played for us last year and think he is a good guy. However, come next year he either walks or signs a very reduced contract.

I think Josh has already improved his offense to at least average. Wiggins has been getting stats other than points. We could have something good going on.

Still early but not a lot of depth at PG this crop.
Jah morant, Darius Garland and Tre Jones are the 3 guys proyected in the first round and no one in the lottery.

I am very intrigued by possibility KBD development. As combo forward he has all possible ways o learn from RoCo (perimeter defence + shooting), Saric (playmaking, rebounding effort, passing) Taj (post defense, experience). If KBD develops into league average 3pt shooter and good defender then we can have good defensive, versatile combination of KBD-RoCo-Okogie-Tyus.

This was me just under two weeks ago. Well, I think the team is changing that. I even sent an apology to the team earlier tonight.

I was at work during the game, but we had it on in the background. I knew it was one I had to watch in full once I got home. This team is a lot of fun to watch again!

Playoff teams tend to be fun to watch.

Actually I like what I see from MIN as team. All current these issues are fixable. Moreover I like this process of post Butler era, so instead of giving the ball to Butler we try to win as team. Now we lose as team, but it is growning process. I think that we had to learn this as team before Butler trade, but Thibs kind of cheated and made Butler main decision maker in clutch.

So lets see we can make it better:

1) More efficient attack ===> More Wiggins at SG ===> More postups/threes opportunities. Already have seen some good things here. Andrew is fairly efficient scorer in the post and improved as 3pt shooter
2) Better ball movement ===> More Rose as ballhandler + one of AT/Saric on the floor
3) More defense ===> More Saric/Okogie/Tyus ===> Start to bench starters once they show no effort in defense or let bench players play when starters struggle against certain matchups.
4) More rebounds ===> More Saric
5) Better spacing ===> More 3s from KAT/AT/Saric/RoCo

All we need now is a good coach and GM

Is 40% from the post good enough? Any low post moves still look mechanical as if he's just learnt them, even when they work. I'm hoping he can find an up and under ability or create his own reverse under/up move because he seems more willing to avoid contact and making players miss on him than he is contact and then shoot. His turn around shot is iffy at best off initial contact. Uncontested his straight up 6 footers are rim bound. When he's best he's not thinking and just reacting quickly. He needs to bring back some dunking to recreate that threat.

More things I want to see:

I am happy to see many these things working for us last games:
More Rose as PnR partner with KAT. As one fan here wrote: "Run KAT-Rose PnR to death"

Good example is CHI game. Good PnR with Teague-Rose-KAT
More spacing with RoCo and Dario. Shoot that corner and open 3s!

Happy to see RoCo/Saric pullling trigger without hesitation. KAT, Wiggins, Rose all averages career high 3PM. Hope that Teague and Tyus contiunes to take open 3s in rhytm
Dario <-> KAT connection. Their passing game might be a huge advantage

I'd say that Darios has been a bit careless feeding KAT. Since KAT is more mobile than Embiid and cant seal some defenders well. But we saw some Dario <-> Dieng connection and it has been a pleasant surprise. Also I might be mistaken but I have feeling that once Dieng is more involved in offense, he starts to be more active as shotblocker
KAT at elbows, high post and low post.

Good example is CHI game. More passing from KAT from high post and low post, more ISOs
Run some plays for Wiggins if he has size advantage low post. No more long 2s. 3s, some low post ISOs and fast break points

I saw some moments when teammate tried to feed AW in post. It seems like not a constant team effort though, we need to find balance here, since KAT and Rose are our best and very efficient scorers.

More things I want to see:
Okogie playing 15-20 minutes. At least back2back games, road games, games atfer games with OT etc. RoCo gives all efforts defensively but we need to protect his body. I'd limit RoCo and Wiggins minutes to 30, sacrificies dfrtg and play Okogie all garbage minutes.

P.S. From Butler trade we are #2 in Defensive Rating!!!

6-2 since the trade. Half a game out of the playoffs at the moment. So much to be positive about. This thread should have a post a day from all of us.
