Simmons, Mitchell and Tatum

Post#1 » by DeathLineup » Sat Nov 17, 2018 6:51 am

How are things looking now?

Who is going to be the best player? Rank them.

All of them have been relatively disappointing in the early part of their sophomore season.

Simmons is the only one of the three who has actually taken a step up in production. Next question?

Simmons, Tatum, Mitchell.
Simmons and Tatum both have a size advantage, so easy to pick them as having the higher ceiling.
Also, Mitchell gets a lot of freedom in the offensive system to get his shots up, a luxury that Tatum doesn't have.

All had amazingly productive rookie seasons. Seeing a small dip in their raw stats is nothing to worry about. All 3 are going to be really good for a long while.

Just let it slide, Wolf. RealGM is the “Mecca” of homerism.

All have had a case of second year blues a little bit this season.

1) Simmons
2) Tatum
3) Mitchell

Can’t see too much of a case for the order changing for a long time either.

I take Simmons over both of the others. Tatum is smooth but teams are more aware of his game. Same goes for Mitchell.

Tatum
Simmons/Mitchell

Simmons ceiling is an elite complementary player.

Mitchell is just too much of a chucker.

Tatum has been a bit disappointing considering the hype he gets, but he has the least amount of flaws.

If stagnation (aka small improvement) continues with this three, we should add K.Kuzma and especially much-improved D.Fox in serious talks about this season best Sophomores.

Lol, you're such a homer. From what I've seen, he definitely didn't take a step up.

Tatum has been relatively disappointing so far. After game 1-3, he's just declined. Maybe it's because he's adapting to Hayward playing in the line-up. Anyhow, I trust that he'll figure it out. I have Simmons and Tatum at 1a/1b (interchangeable) and Donovan right after. Fox is also looking amazing and I wouldn't be surprised if he took Donovan's spot some time at the future. The Kings got their franchise PG, which should be good news to them in this PG-heavy league.

Idk about Kuzma since I haven't watched much of him, but D. Fox should definitely be in the conversation.

Big game for Tatum tonight. 21/7 on 63% from the field against a top 3 team. Legitimately looking like a one two punch with kyrie to close the game out with good defense and some strong drives and dunks at the rim. Tatum quietly is getting back to his normal self with close to 90% FT and 40% from 3 after a really bad start. I wonder how butlers usage will affect Simmons? We might have a level playing field to compare Simmons and Tatum this season.

We rally going to do this after Mitchell just put 36 shots without an assist?

Kuzma is understandable since he had a whole rookie season of playing good ball. In Fox we have a dozen games and a pretty lackluster rookie season. Outside shooting has always been a question with Fox so I would like a little bigger sample size.
